Posts: 3006 San Antonio, TX | I hate when work cuts into Saturday riding plans!! A catastrophic failure at the office of an computer gizmo had me going to the office and on the phone with support in the Philippines, India, and Kentucky until after 3:00 PM yesterday. Its replacement arrives today at 1:00 PM air freight.
I was able to get there and make the last demo ride. I took at the white with black accent 2011 Vision Tour Premium.
Fourth gear noise is very much reduced! Since I rode my 2008 before and after the demo I really had the chance to hear the difference and it is a big difference! I can always tell when I am in 4th gear on my Vision but on the 2011 I could barely hear it. I had to shift from 4th to 5th and back to 4th to pick up a difference in the timber of the 4th gear set. Nice job Victory!!!
The rear shock was over filled for my weight and I almost pulled over to let the air out. It was like a hard tail....come one where is that plush ride? When I got back on mine and felt that ride that I am used to.
The radio works and sounds great on the 2011.
The redesigned Handle Bars look wimpy compared to the 2008 bars but feel and work fine.
I really like the mod I did by swapping the CB and Audio control locations. Once again I was at a light and could not reach the MUTE with my thumb. I really love my swapped controls!
While there I saw another Vision Rider Tim and we rode back down 1604 towards 281.
Piloting a Vision I often wonder what the bike looks like going down the road since all I see is the Cockpit.
What a really nice bike to look at...I got to see what others see and thought..."That is too cool!"
Tim, What did you do to your exhaust note?.....You are ready to rumble!
A Big thanks to Robin at Polaris/Victory and all of the crew at Kent Powersports for the demo rides!

Are you sure the shock was overfilled or did you just assume that? Reason I ask is that my new '11 rides much stiffer than the '10 did but according to the guys at Victory they didn't change anything except the shaft. They said they improved the shaft to reduce oil seal failure but didn't do anything else. I'm doubting that a little bit now.

Posts: 3006 San Antonio, TX | I did not put an air gage on it to check it but it felt like my 2008 when I have the shock setup for Two Up riding. It felt like mine when I have 55 plus lbs in the shock.
If I find a 2011 Vision on a showroom floor I will check it out some more. |

Same here RT, I never understood all the fuss in finding my kickstand so I never need an enchancement.
I rode a 2011 8-Ball but I never noticed the change in the kick. |
