Posts: 2118 Pitt Meadows, BC Canada | Breaks MY rule # 1 . . . MOTORcycle
Where's the MOTOR? What does the MOTOR sould like? How much power does the MOTOR develop?
And I will NEVER consider a hidden pile of wires to be a MOTORcycle MOTOR. Or a complicated GEN-SET....
I think I would fall off the thing if I was zooming along - the engine howling - and all of a sudden .... SILENCE ! Scare the crap out of me.... |

| Think of how much fun you would have sneaking up on people and honking the horn.......Oh wait ...no loud pipes....you would probably die... |

Tons of torque.
I've never been a fan of loud pipes. |

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | This article was from last year, but I thought it curious that the lines looked a little Visiony. If you dig up some old Vision concept drawings it makes it more interesting. If you look closely, you'll see the floorboards are huge on this Yamy also, all ideas not typically seen until the Vision took the step...could this be the first of many Vision wanna bees? |

based on green concepts i think if you only see the bike as unconventional or non typical "motorcycle" then why did ya buy a Vision.
Personally i bike for the experience could care less about how loud my pipes are and how annoying i "want to be to my neighbors".
Its kinda funny to hear some of you guys all balls to the wall on sound level of your bike, yet if your neighbors dog barks 3 times outside
you wanna go over and kill their dog... REALLY ???? Seriously??? I would buy the bike for its concept and its sheer visual appeal.
but then I think outside the box........another reason I didnt buy a Harley. |

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | ...sheesh, does it matter if some want loud pipes, or quiet pipes...and who cares about a dog barking, my dog will bark right back and even eat the neighbor's dog and a few salesmen. I could also careless about the wussy yamy, the point was that folks appear to be slowly wanting to be like Victory.... |

The Vision 800 concept bike was first seen at the December 2005 long beach show 8 months later, and looked very little like the "Vision" as we know it today.

If you think that they look similar, then I would suggest that Vic moved towards the Yamaha's styling cues rather than the other way around.

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | my bad, the date on the webpage is june 24, 2009, so I thought this was the after they introduced the Vision. The Vision Concept bike is not not what I refered to but rather the drawings that were released when the Vision as we know it today was introduced, and you're right, two totally different bikes. I'm not sure what was up with the actual Vision Concept bike unless it has some hidden agenda that was being tested for the sport bike arena...or to throw off those who maybe knew the Vision was being developed in secret and information leaked. |
