For whatever it's worth to those newly riding "Street" (no trunk). I recommend you just put a gob of black tape over the pressure placard. I've spent weeks trying to figure out why my Vision was riding like a buckboard. I mean I talk'in how frost heaves in the road make your neck an inch shorter. Went through the whole drill of checking everything a hundred times to see what I'm missing. As it turned out - nothing. My problem was that I was read'in the directions! I was running the shock at around 6 lbs. like the placard says.

Pumped that bad boy up to 20 lbs. and it's like a stretch limo, smooth as a babies butt over the heaves. At 6 lbs. the shock was bottoming out.

And as a side benefit, the top edge of the windshield slide down the sight path just enough to make it noticeable and pleasant.

Ahhh!  Ain't life grand!!

I have an 8ball with a tour pack, using the Low table, it has me using 40psi. It seems to ride fine; am I reading the table wrong?

I'm normally keep mine around 30psi with the trunk, up to 65psi when 2up or packed. Never given thought to go below 20, as there is a lot of dips around here...

About 66 all the time on my VV w/trunk. Too much trouble to change every week or so when 2up. Plus I like a firmer ride.

Same here.........

I think the Vision needs to be kept at the factory spec tire and rear shock pressures..........anything less does not work as well or at least it seems that way to me.

Your placard says 6 lbs??

Any chance you have an 08 model?

Wasn't there some type of recall on the placards for some of the very early 08 models? I'm thinking I might have read something somewhere...? Maybe someone will chime in with a link to something on this recall I barely remember.....

The recall was for the placard on the left side inside the saddle bag which lists a lot of the bike specs, like plug gap, fuel reqs, etc. Not the shock load pressures that I remember. I got to install that one, so I be a remembering it.

So is a total rider/passenger/cargo combined weight of 125 lbs to go with the 6 lbs of air pressure.

Me and the missus and all the junk in the trunk probably add up to closer to 375 to 400 pounds, which translates to 55 to 60 pounds of air pressure according to the chart.
