Posts: 88 Nova Scotia , Canada | Has anyone who has owned a 08, 09 or 10 Vision traded it in on a 2011? If so what do they think of it, is there enough of a difference (improvements) to have made the trade worthwhile? I ask because I lost my 08 Vision in an accident mid summer and there are some good deals on the 2010?s at the moment, although the new 2011?s are appealing

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | NR, sorry for your accident and hope you are doing okay know. It's good to hear you want to get back on. If it was me in your shoes, I'd take a '10 for a good price and let the "improved" '11s ride a while before taking the dive. I was open to go for an '08, first run Vision without hestiation, with no regrets at all. But I've got the feeling the '11s will morph into significant "improvements" in '12, just MHO. |

Posts: 74 Lehigh Valley, Pa | My personal observation with the 11's is Vic cut a few corners apparently to save some cost. The rear bags appear to be lighter or not as sturdy and they eliminated the dampeners. Just a general less sturdy feeling to the fairings. No details that this was actually the case, just a opinion after riding a couple. |

I like the new bar's and I like the new colors. So I ordered a silver one. It arrived at the dealer today. But with that said I would be on the fence if my dealer had any 2010.

Posts: 131 Edmond, OK 2012 Vision, 2012 Cross Country | I had a 09 Vision and I too lost it in an accident this past September. There have been no 2010 to get my hands on around here and my back is still having problems at the time. I have ordered a pearl white 2011 and it is due to ship on the 27th of October and can't wait for it to show up. I will definately find out how well it is made due to the milage that was on my 09 which was 12,700 in less than a year and it sat for 3 months as well. I hope everyone who is out there riding is making the most of safety gear. If I had not had a helmet on when I had my accident I would not be writing this today. My accident was at 70mph on I35 in N. Oklahoma City when a fool did not tie a bbq grill in the back of his pickup at almost midnight. My helmet saved my life, so please ride safe. |

People need to secure their loads. I see way too much stuff on the road or flying off trailers and trucks. Sounds like you are recovering from the ordeal. Please write up what happen in a new thread as a safety reminder.
Take care |

Posts: 447 Northeastern Penna. | Sorry to hear about your accident, hope you are well now. As far as the 2010 or 2011. I had the opportunity, as many here have, to demo ride them. I'm not totally sold on them. Aside from the somewhat quieter ride, my deal breaker will be when Vic enlarges the side bags- a must do ! I do like the newer colors, particularly white. |
