Posts: 395 Moravia, IA | Im already running the car tire on the rear, love it.
Ive read a few people will run a rear MC tire on the front for extended mileage.
Are any of you doing it and if so what tire are you using and how do you like it?

Ehh, I was asking about running a rear MC tire on the front....thought maybe someone had some recommendations.
Im thinking of trying a Avon Venom rear on the front. |

Posts: 2118 Pitt Meadows, BC Canada | You gonna change the design of the forks and the braking system, as well as finding a rim wide enough to handle a rear tire. And finding a 21" ??? rear tire narrow enough to fit on the stock rim? Or ???
WHY ! |

I guess I'll have to check my back tire - the Vision manual says it's 18" front AND rear on page 3 of chapter 14 as follows: Front Wheel Front Wheel Size 3.00 x 18 Rear Wheel Rear Wheel Size 8.50 x 18 Finding an 18" REAR tire to fit on a skinny rim - hmmmm - not sure how that would give better mileage - if you could find one ..... |

Posts: 388 Salisbury, NC | I guess the rear tire I just installed (195/55/16) should have been a little bigger to get it on the wheel. Huh. I do know they make a 18" rear tire. Just not on the Vision that I have. As far as putting a rear tire on front, I'm good with how it is now. And good luck finding a rear tire small enough to fit. ET |

Its a common enough size I can find them everywhere.....open your mind a bit.
Avon Roadrunner is what Im thinking of using.

Posts: 388 Salisbury, NC | The first part of my statement was to DoneTracey about an 18" rear. I know they make them also, but my wallet says no way for my Vision. As far as you wanting to put a rear tire on the front of your bike, go for it. To each his own, if I could help, I'd be there with a tire spoon in each hand. Let us know how it feels. It should change the feel a little. ET
