You might be able to sign up and use it right away....I am not sure since I signed years ago.

Posts: 492 Indianapolis, IN | Just bought one a week ago. Isn't the most impressive piece of equipment in the world but it works. I'd say you get what you pay for, It'll do. If you can save 30 bucks you should by all means on this one, for Heaven's sake don't pay full price like others of us have. BTW if you order this on line you can have it shipped to your nearest sears store for pick up and pay no shipping fees. |

I had 2 of the Craftsman lifts, the 1st one wouldn't stay up unless the safety latches were engaged so I returned it for an exchange, the 2nd one failed while my 8 ball was in the air, the pump mechanism froze and I was unable to raise the lift off of the safety latch, I finally had to had to stomp on the pump lever with all my 260 lbs. to get the lift to go up, took that one back too, needless to say, I didn't get another craftsman lift after that. |

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | ...I still use mine today, but as a matter of warning, while mine was up, and fortunately locked, the pump piston came out completely. Not sure how that happened other than the push pedal got lifted enough to pull it out. Needless to say it lost a lot of fluid and when I got it back together I had to pump the dickens out of it to lift it high enough to let it down, thankfully there was some fluid left. I took it apart and filled with fluid and it seems to work well now, I always used the lock and mind the pedal to keep from repeating that episode. |

Posts: 492 Indianapolis, IN | You guys validate my impression of the Craftsman lift. I plan to beef mine up a little. It makes me a little nervous. You may want to consider replacing the bolts that go through each of the pivot points with high grade bolts. I noticed mine seem to be slightly bent after just a few times lifting the bike. For just a few bucks you can pick up Grade 8 replacement bolts at the local farm supply store that would be much stronger than the stock bolts. Otherwise so far so good, I just don't think I would leave the bike on the lift for any extended period of time. BTW, they rate the lift for 1500lbs. There is no way on earth this thing would be safe with 1500 on it. |

I have a similar type MC jack and was wondering how you guys use it under the Vision since it doesn't have two frame rails to sit on the jack? I read another forum where someone had a Ness bash plate installed so is this how you guys use this type jack or is there some particluar spots under the Vision that will sit stable on this style jack?
I always used my jack on my Electraglide when I cleaned the wheels, sure is a PIA to inch the bike forward 4-5 times to clean all of the back wheel not counting being that low to the gournd. |

I will look around. |
