Posts: 92 Princeton, MN | Has anyone done this change up on their Vision? Does the L2 exhaust accept the Big Honkers muffler system? Is the benefit worth the change up performance and sound wise? Any ideas or comments will be appreciated!! Thanks! |

| I think it is just the cans that get switched out, so it should work.
Sound wise is a definite improvement. No change in performance. |

Posts: 60 Vancouver, B.C. & La Quinta, CA | VICIVR, I started with the Stage 1 Level 1 exhaust before taking delivery of my Ness bike. Not bad sound, but...... Changed out to the Big Honkers when at Arlen Ness'. Big difference in sound! Louder, deeper, smoother and throatier. Bit of improvement in performance. Great system because you can keep your Gatlin Tips or whatever you have. You might want to check with Susie who runs the service counter at Arlen's shop for what I was told is an upcoming new Big Honker. All in all, an excellent upgrade to the Honkers. I have ridden dozens of HD for many years and can easily compare this set-up to any of those "street" set-ups for HD. |

I read a lot about the honkers (I just got a new bike) and I just ordered the D&D pipes. I did this for 2 reasons. My S1L2 pipes just don't have enough sound but the Honkers where a little too much for me. Also everything I have read gave me the impression there is a slight performance drop from the S1L2 pipes when you put on the honkers. But they do sound nice! I leave my house for work at 4:30 - 5am everyday. That little bit more sound could make life difficult for me. LoL

| I spoke with Lloyd a bunch in Daytona in 09. The S1/L1 bikes on average produced 2HP more than the S1/L2 and Honker bikes I believe is what he told me.
Cheap price to pay for the extra sound. |
