| Hello All
A friend of mine needed to stop into a harley dealership today to look at a part he wanted to get. We were on a fall color run at the time. I ride a 2009 Vision Tour, and had on my leather vest with the huge Victory patch on the back. We pulled into the lot and you should of saw all the weird looks I got from the other harley folks. It was like they were saying (What balls that guy has comming onto our lot with his spaceship). I did get the feeling like I did'nt belong there . |

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | I walked into a harley shop looking for an exhaust clamp for my Vision just the other day. What I found out was they both use the same type and size on the smaller size. When I told the parts guy that was trying to match up the old clamp for a new one that it was off a Victory, he didn't even flinch. He didn't have the larger one and stock and was still trying to help me out. He did tell me to try across the street at the Suzuki place, and then we both laughed.

| Really guy's? I never hear any negative about any of my Victorys will at HD dealers. ALL my buddies and there wifes ride HD's so I end up at HD dealers alot, and everytime there are at least 1 if not multiple HD riders wanting to check out my Vison and are always cool. People act like all HD riders are 1%'s and there not even close. |

Blows their minds when my bike rolls in.... they cant believe that its a vision... I love living "OUTSIDE THE BOX". Dont get me wrong.. i like hardleys... for that much all bikes. But nothing compares to a Vision. |

I stopped into Laidlaws HD store and as I was parking in the motorcycle lot, an older gentlemen comes up to me. He asks me how I like the bike and then he comments that my bike is gorgeous and that he hears nothing but positive about the brand.
After we share a few comments and shake hands he mentions that he is the Mr. Laidlaw, the owner of the establishment. He is a class act. |

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | ...I think at this point in time the Vision, and Victory is gaining respect as a brand and the brand loyalists. It's hard to argue with sucess and I've yet to meet in person a Victory owner of any model talk it down.
I've read many of "negatives" both on here and theVMC, but have come to realize it really is no more than ranting. I don't know anyone personally that has gone away from Victory or the Vision, but I know there have been a few here that have "jumped" ship.
I'll roll into my local Harley like I own the place, and will even wave at those on the road when they are giving me the finger. |

Posts: 494 Akron Ohio area | There is a Harley Dealership within walking distance of my Victory Dealership.
They have a throw-back style lunch counter inside.
I walk up there to eat while my bike is serviced at the Victory dealership.
No problems visiting the Harley dealership as the Harley dealership's owner is the father of the owner of the Victory Dealership. |

Posts: 2300 Georgia, west of Atlanta | I had my RoadGlide in the Harley shop to get the cruise control worked on. They have a drive up inside sevice desk. So on about the 5th day in the shop I rode the Vision through the doors into the shop right up to the sevice desk. Suprised they asked can we help you? I replied " yeah you can get my RoadGlide fixed". Afterwards all the mechanics came out and was checking out and asking questions about the Vision. All was good and they got the RG fixed the next day.................. |

Posts: 2300 Georgia, west of Atlanta | I thought ya'll would like that story. Sometimes I ride the RoadGlide to the Victory store, Especially when I buy a couple of gallons of oil, they'll ask how come you aren't riding the Vision amd I'll reply "Wanted to make sure I had enough room in the TourPak for all this stuff" That kinda gets em......... I guess I'm a trouble maker at heart ( really just having fun )..........................Ya'll have a good night..........steve

Posts: 51 Ennis, Tx | When we were in Memphis, Tn for a rally in August - some of our riders wanted to go to the HD dealership for some t-shirts -- well -- across the street is a Victory dealership... So I visited the HD with the riders and listen to the HD folks talk up HD vs VV - it was fun with them... Then I made our riders visit the Victory shop... I have only come across 1 guy that is a hard HD guy and gives me static about Victory... I lay back on him about how Victory is the RIDE!! |

Posts: 619 Southeast Iowa | No issues for me at the local HD shop. The owner Bob knows me by name and offers to take my Victory in on trade every time I'm there. I keep telling him that HD makes nothing that fits me and I would hate to give up the power. Last time he coaxed me into sitting on a Screaming Eagle Ultra Glide Classic to prove it's big enough for me..............no dice. When I turned the handlebars hard left or right they hit my knees. Besides why would anyone pay 37K to have a bike that runs almost as good as my Vision and looks like every other bike on the street. I always park as close to the front door as I can so they can all get a good look at the VV. Never had a rude comment from anyone and usually start up a conversation with someone that wants to know more about Victory. Most people that bash other brands to their owners are just posers anyway. I find that when you put the wannabes in their place they shut up pretty quickly. |

Posts: 423 northwest florida | our local CMA chapter meets at a HD dealership. The owner is nice enough to allow different groups use his back room as long as it does not interfere with his store or emploees. I usally park in front along side the glides and kings. I have had several conversations about the vision with glide riders.... should had seen them when I rode a kawie nomad with the electra glide fairing and lowers on it. I got a lot of double takes with that set up. lol. |
