Anyone know what all is on the schedule for the 52.5K service? Is it just a glorified oil change with checking fasteners, or more. I dont have my book with me, and my computer at work of course blocks the online version. Any help would be appreciated.

It only goes up to 50,000, but I don't think it is hard to figure out what comes next.

I enjoy the repeats on the "Road Test".....

Fuel Filter at 50K.  Isn't the filter on the bottom of the fuel pump?

the only so-called filter is a non-replaceable filter sock on the fuel pickup at the bottom of the fuel pump. If you don't believe me, I've got my old pump sitting in my shed. Rumor was that there would be an external filter install in some later edition, but until, don't try to replace your filter

Hey thanks all, its what I expected. Glorified oil change and look the bike over, with some lubes added. Something I do all the time anyhow. I get a loaner bike at the shop but for the hassle of going down, then back the next day, an oil change will be done at home.

Hey Varyder,

I just had my service done and when I take it back next time it will be with about 37,000 miles on it. My tech says that the belt needs to be changed out for about $500 but the belt looks fine to him and me. I think it is just a CYA from Victory but just curious when or if you have had yours replaced. The tech did say he would not go past 50,000 miles no matter what but curious what you did with yours?

Thanks,

Mitch

I thought the big selling point of the Victory drive belt was that it was good for 100,000 miles???

that's the xmission on the 100,000, the DB is set for 30,000. But I will say at 45,000 miles my original belt looked brand new when I replaced it. I think the 30,000 (my opinion only) is relative to what folks think will be the use of the bike over a period of time. The little I know of belt breakage I believe the belt is good for 100,000 provided you don't get knicks and cuts in the belt. Mine had zero, nada, perfect. I've got 38,000 on the second belt, but my pully is getting worn which is putting a wear pattern on the this belt. So it is time to replace the rear pulley and belt at 82,000. So I hope all of this makes sense.

I think what kills belts at low mileage is the time factor. Most belts that I have read about were 5 - 10 years old, but the bike only had 30,000 or so miles on it.
