Hey everyone. While I purchased a Street Premium and said i would NEVER add that big honkin
rear trunk..................... i ordered one for an upcoming fall ride. Call me picky but I hated strapping
gear and soft bags to the bike. Im shallow I hated the way it made my bike look.

Anyway, This trunk isnt going to be on the bike continuously so I wanted to get some feedback
from any of you who may have purchased the wall mount. Likes dislikes, blah blah blah.

FYI I dont know about any of the trunks you own but this one is not very good "fit and finish" from Polaris. The outer edge of the trunk plastic is rough and the paint job isn pretty poor. There are two slight dimples in the matte plastic panels on the top sides. Granted I am the only person who would ever notice this but for 1500.00 I wanted and expected better.

The trunk rack works as advertised... Mine stays on the wall 95% of the time... no issues...

As to the trunk "quality"... yeah, I ordered a black one for my 09 Ness Vision... same situation as you... they are all like that... Easier pill for me to swallow though as I used the $1000 parts and accessories coupon towards it and the dealer gave it to me at a good discount. I only had to come out of pocket $200 total for the trunk...

I like the trunk off, but it is sooo convenient. I take the bike to work most days. Mine had no paint around the lip when it was new. I used a black magic marker to color in. Lasted two years so far. My only complaint now is the rattle. Did all the fixes. They last for a while, and it starts again.

I bought a wall mount for my trunk a couple of years ago............I guess it works because my trunk has been hanging on that wall ever since!

Wall mount bracket works great - mounted mine up high and out of the way... Trunk has been hanging on it for the last 10 months...
Just besure you hit a stud with the screws and use some heavy duty screws.

I am too cheap to pay for the wall mount so I made my own. I took a large thick washer, ground the top of the washer flat and welded it to a large lag bolt. Scrounged up a small section of aluminum channel bar which I modified to sit nicely and line up to the mounting holes on the trunk, notched it to fit the washer bolt set up. There you have it, wall mount in under 30 min for 0$.

+1 The trunk is heavy when off the bike. Mine is also stored above head level. A little tricky hanging the box and bringing it down, just be careful. If it weren't stored on the wall it would be like a large boulder on floor of my garage, sure to get damaged sooner of later.

Oh the trunk, I thought you were talking about the junk in your trunk!!! Ya, know, if you have your dude cook up some cool graphics to go along with the cool graphics already on your bike, the trunk would look pretty good. Hey, your getting two extra speakers and now a place to put your expresso machine without people noticing.
Then again, if you leave it on, there is no need for a wall mount. Man, geesh, think outside the box or trunk, but I don't think you can fit in the box.
In all seriousness, here would be my one real gripe and it has nothing to do with the wall mount.

When you put the trunk on, either make sure it doesn't rub the panels right up under the seat or you will be unhappy when you take it off. I have seen two Visions where the trunk rubs a fair bit of material off of the panel that the trunks sits on next to the seat. It's too late for me and I don't have cool graphics. Depending on the year of the trunk or something, they may have added material up under the trunk bosses to lift it a little higher, but I don't know. Mine rubs and I have no way to fix at this point.

So, in regards to your trunk, put it in the trunk in your Lexus and now you have the first trunk in a trunk, oh yeah, don't forget to put some chrome on it.

Fire wood! Wow, you really are getting the maximum utility out of the trunk. That's great!

If I had it to do over again, I would not order the tour pack. true, it is very handy for grocery shopping and every day stuff. But when it comes to touring, I carry a lot of big gear (sleeping bag, tent, bag with: clean pair of jeans, ten clean pairs of socks, underwear, and tee shirts, not to mention the shovel, axe, ice chest, camp stool, cooking utensils and CPAP with 50ft extension cord). Point being you can pack more on a Vision without the tour pack.

Victory discontinued their wall mount for the trunk, so my buddy started making them. I posted an add in the Buy & Sell section..... very sturdy, $94.99
