Posts: 332 Dale, Indiana | You can chrome plastic; I have lots of it on my big truck.
I was told yesterday that my tail piece (which were supposed to be here last week then changed to this week) is now not going to ship until 4-17.
Then I found out yesterday that most of my other chrome that was supposed be here ALREADY is not going to be here until next week.
Frankly I am starting to get tired of it!
I have bought and paid for several hundred dollars (more like over a thousand dollars) of chrome that was listed in the book as being in stock over and over again and it keeps getting changed, taking out of the book, put back in the book, and ship dates changed.
If I had to do it all over again, I'd take everything off the bike and send it out to be chromed.
Guess it pee's me off that it would have been cheaper too!
As a new guy to the modern motorcycle age.
Why are ALL motorcycle accessories grossly overpriced?
For what it cost to dress out a bike, I could chrome out one bad-azz tricked out 18-wheel truck.

Posts: 550 Tacoma, WA | I know what you mean. I have had mucho chrome n order since late NOVEMBER, and finaly have recieved the forward, and aft engine compartment pieces, the rear ones had to be sent back, because they were all messed up in shipping, so this is the second set of those, the grill pieces FINALY came in three weeks ago, only to be sent back, damaged as well....so now I am waiting yet again. I am missing the access panel, and the gril pieces, and I will not be rdering again, I will just have things chromed. I am pretty tired of dealing with poor packing, and overcharges, and non-communication. I did finally et bored enough to powder coat my access panel, console, and grill, tho.-----Metalguy |

| Road Runner So you think the one inch foot extentions for 99.99 is to much or the 449.99 backrest is too high, your so right it is enough to make you sick. The motorcycle manufactures think we are idiots and perhaps there right. I for one will not give in to this BS. How about the crome forks we paid for(premium model) and never received, you can order them for just 699.00. The best part is they have all there goodies on back order(not smart Victory) as I have cancelled your stage 2 pipes for aftermarket pipes for less money I might add. Victory if your listening, don't start down Harley's path, poor customer service and over- the- top pricing of your merchandise. I was online looking at new Ultras the other day and it is a major buyers market, hope the HD riders remember there treatment with many of the HD dealers when the shoe was on the other foot. I feel a bit pissed thinking about this subject, sorry. Bruce |

Posts: 332 Dale, Indiana | In 4 weeks I am going to do my first poker ride of the year.
I kinda liked to have had my bike dressed out by then, but I guess I am going to show up all spotty since I will have chrome here and there.
Least my CB intercom, luggage rack, fork lights, and other stuff showed up without the backorder aggravation.
I bought a $21,000 dollar bike, paid for $3,000+ worth of accessories the same day, and bought $1,300 more since then and so far all I have is my helmets and clothing.
Least in one week I will have everything on the bike that's in (got tired of waiting for it all).
I can't gripe about my dealer they have been good to me. They threw in the extended warranty, bike cover and some clothing. Plus, it was cold and they delivered to my house (50 miles away).
I do dislike the feeling you are a bum when I order things. No personal checks, no this and no that. It seems there are a lot of folks on bikes who can't afford a bike, and a lot of bike shops got tired of being burned.
I don't mind but it wasn't me who fell all over themselves when they knew my credit was better then average.
Least they didn't make me put down a deposit when I dropped my bike off yesterday for my first service and accessory adding, like I have seen others having to do.
Next winter what I don't have now (whenever now finally gets here) I am having the rest of my chrome list done by taking it off the bike and having it chromed. That brushed grey stuff just clashes.
Now that I am done griping.
I took the bike out Thursday for a few hours. Cruised the back roads and then cruised around town. Made a stop and the local bar (I always wanted to park my bike on the sidewalk in front of that bar) had one beer then showed the bike to few guys, then stopped at the store to pickup some wine (more lookers), then the video store (noticed a bunch of kids looking at it and then they looked at me like I was from another planet).
Then cruised the lot at the local car dealer looking at cars and pickup trucks.
I am just surprised how quick I caught on to driving at very slow speeds!
Darn bike is just a joy to ride.

| You are right about the price they charge, I got lucky I have a good chrome shop in my area that I have dealt with many times and know I what It cost to chrome things. When my dealer told me they charge $500 dollars for chrome Handel bars I laughed In his face, they must think we really are stupid or just dont care..Anyway got the bars chromed for $125 and the rest of the brushed alm. done for $500..Get the stuff done yourself and save...

Posts: 1324 So Cal | Back in Dec. I asked my dealer about the stage 1,L2. He told me to paying for it then would put me at the top of the list when they came in. Being a part of the pre-order fiasco I told him Id wait. They have been pushed back so many times I lost count.
I even told my dealer last week that he was making it hard to spend money there. Which is a good thing since I came off a HD (Hundred Dollars). I also understand everyones frustration. The best thing to do right now is forgetaboutit and enjoy the Vision you have. Getting frustrated is not going to make it happen any sooner. If you have deposits, get your money back and tell the dealer to call you when the stuff comes in, make sure he checks it first.
I think, having original parts chromed or painted is the best way to go considering, you know the fit right.
Given the state of the economy, I just hope my dealer doesnt go out of business before Victory gets its s**t together. |

Posts: 619 Southeast Iowa | It's nice to know I'm not the only one getting pi$$ed off about parts being back ordered and coming in scratched and dented. I took a vacation day Friday only to be screwed by scratched and dented Grilles. It was obvious that they were damaged BEFORE they were shipped and there is NO way whoever packaged them did not see the problem. I opened the box at the dealer and unpackaged the parts myself. They were wrapped well and the box had zero damage to it. I think Victory must be sending the same crappy Grilles to all of us because that's all they have to ship. Friday was the last straw for me, I spent 4 hours yesterday drafting a letter to Polaris Brass to see if anyone is listening. I have had more disappointment from Victory in the last 4 months than the previous 7 years and I'm getting pi$$ed. It's past time to share my frustrations with someone who can do something about it! Does anyone know who is in charge of Sales and Marketing for Victory? Those are the last 2 names I need before I send the letters out. |

Posts: 294 rhode island | Glad im to poor to worry about extra chrome,I paid cash for my premium cherry tour with a tight budget for now.
There shouldnt be any back orders at all. My last bike was a 2002 TC Deluxe And spent 5000.00 in acc. with not one back order.
Including a 100ci. kit. Come on Victory lets go !
