Posts: 575 Spirit Lake IA "Birthplace of Victory Motorcycles" | Stopped by Lloydz trailer this year at AVR. Great group of people! Had him install intake and VFCIII in my Black 2009 Vision. Rest of the engine is stock. When Lloyd was done with the Dyno run he was shaking his head. I immediately wondered what was wrong. He said "I can't believe it . . . I've never seen stock bike with stock pipes run these kind of numbers." Final numbers were 91.6 / 106.
Look's like I picked up just shy of 8 HP and a little over 9 ft/lbs of torque to factory performance. Top graph is mine and bottom is a stock Vision.
I will eventually get cams, but my wife would kill me if I did it all at the same time! Engine just seems to run better & smoother. Kinda weird that now you can really here that airbox sucking in the air. Cool people and cool products! Thx!

Posts: 111 Salina, KS | After quizzing Lloyd on the type of filtration used in his Intake Plate, I too bought one. I got it installed yesterday, & was pleasantly surprised with the results. VFC III will be next...then cams.....can't wait! |

Posts: 70 Iowa | I also had the intake plate and the iac valve installed, i did not get to see it on the dyno but will next year when he does my cams. thanks to Bri for putting a good word in for me , Lloyd is a stand up guy and Andrew did a great job. I can feel more power and I'm still getting adjusted to the vacuum noise. |

Posts: 575 Spirit Lake IA "Birthplace of Victory Motorcycles" | Stock dyno was a generic graph for a stock Vision pulled off the web. Top one was on Lloyd's trailer. I did not think to ask for a baseline before the mods. I know there can be differences in readings comparing SAE smoothing 1 vs 5, but shouldn't be too much of an issue comparing 4 to 5. The fact that they are both using SAE vs STD or UNCORRECTED also help with an apples to apples comparison.
Kaydee,
VFCIII = $260
Intake = $85
Dyno = $100
Install = $105 |

Posts: 432 Gettysburg, 2008 Tour Premium | Can you give any indication of what the settings on the VFC are. Should be six (6) different settings:
Green - base fuel, idle and cruise
Yellow - accel fuel
Red - main fuel, full throttle
Green/Blue - not important except when running NOX, should be 0
Yellow/Blue - tip in for accel fuel
Red/Blue - point when full throttle fuel comes in
If you want to give the numbers without description that is all I will understand, just start with the green setting- like 3, 3.5, 2, 0,3.5,3
Thanks, Walt

I will when I get a chance. A little afraid to mess with it . . . might screw something up. |

Posts: 175 Hinton, Iowa | I had Kevin X install cams in my VV in Omaha in April and had Lloyd tune it at the AVR.Last year I had S1L2 exhaust, intake plate and VFC III. At that time my HP # was 89 and I can't remember the torque # But after the cam install and tune ny #s were 112.07 HP and 115.08 torque. I was pleased and amazed to say the least. BTW this year I am running Ness Big Honkers

Posts: 575 Spirit Lake IA "Birthplace of Victory Motorcycles" | OK, here's the numbers Lloyd set up for my bike:
G =3.0
Y =3.5
R =1.0
G/B = 2.5
Y/B = 3.5
R/B = 3.0
Don't have any idea why my Nitrous (G/B) is not set to "0" . . . I assume it doesn't function since I don't have NOS installed?? Should I set this to "0"?
One other thing, I rode for about 6 hours yesterday and it died at intersections 4 different times. Hadn't had this happen before. For those with experience and knowledge in these controllers, which "light" should I adjust to correct this condition and in which direction (+ or -). Thx! |
