Posts: 423 northwest florida | what's up with a 1 yr warranty? It should be 2 or 3 yrs with unlimited mileage at least, then maybe an extended 3 - 5 year unlimited mileage. Just a thought. |

Posts: 115 Victoria, BC | That's true, especially since in most parts of the Canada & the US, you can only ride for part of the year. A three year warranty should be the norm - considering how reliable the modern motorcycle should be with computer aided design & manufacturing. Who would buy a car with only a one year warranty? |

Posts: 136 CALGARY ALBERTA | I'm sure you will see the warranty increased to compete with other manufacturers. From what we read here so far, I don't think it is a worry. It obviously didn't scare us off. Time will tell.

Posts: 35 El Paso, TX | I was a little turned off by the 12-month warranty, but after doing some research on Victorys am satisfied they are a quality product. Whatever will break hopefully will in the first 12 months anyway. Extended warranties are usually a waste of money historically, but some like the piece of mind. I do agree that Victory should have looked at similar bikes liked the goldwing and such, and offered similar warranties.
Happy riding,

Posts: 223 Valdosta, GA | I opted for the extended warranty. Would have done it regardless how long the factory warranty is. Anything can be well-built and still have issues. The cost of the warranty will pay for itself with the first covered repair. I've been averaging about 14,000 miles/year since I started riding 5 years ago, and have already covered 8,000 in the past six months with the Vision. I just not willing to bet on any bike running 60,000+ miles without some expensive repair being necessary...

| I talked with a dealer last summer to see when Victory would release the new touring bike. He recommended buying the extended warrenty when it came out. He hit the nail on the head when he said this is the most advanced bike Victory has made, and it's the first year. Better safe than sorry. I'm going to extend my warrenty this fall. |
