I sold my 02 Gold Wing a year and a half a go due to lack of ride time; and have been chomping at the bit badly for the past few months to get back to riding. Was looking at a Kawasaki Nomad until the salesman pointed me over to the Vision. Anyways, enjoy hanging out on the sight, learning all I can, and enjoying the stories. Ride Safe! DW |

Dad has never owned a motorcycle but this is probably a good thing. In the late 40's, while trying to impress a girl he liked, he went through 3 transmission repairs in two weeks. It worked to impress the girl since a few years later they married.
Lucky for him he had a relative in the transmission repair business. |

Posts: 256 Florida | Wow, this is strange as many of us are in the same age group. I'm 53...going to be 54 in a month. I guess this speaks volumes as we are old enough not to be influenced by marketing and live in the "been there, done that" era. I guess the younger guys are still too meek to try something new and with our age and life experiences, we know that trying something new can be a good thing.
Either that, or we're all going through the mid-life crisis thing and have found a cure...at least a temporary one!
Now, if the Vision would come with some "hair growing elixir" imagine the line that would form at the door! Or, Victory could change its marketing for the Vision to: The Vision, the alternative to Viagra! Uh-Oh, it just dawned on me that if they did all that, we could be the next Governor of NY! |

Seems that most of us fit right into Victory's target audience. It's good to have some young whipper snappers on board to help with all the new fangled technical gadgets. I'm a little technically challenged as well as a slow learner. Oh, I forgot, we've got the Gadget Guru and he's one of the oldsters. |

Posts: 619 Southeast Iowa | At 41 I'm about in the middle of the group. I think one reason Victory thinks the Visions target audience is 50ish is due to the price, the other due to it being a Touring bike. The trend has been moving towards baggers and I see a lot of people in their 30's riding Road Kings, Street Glides and such. I think you will see more people in their 30's and 40's on the Street and the Tour will probably be mostly men in their 50's. I happen to like both worlds and can have either one in about 20 minutes. |

I had a 2000 Kawasaki Nomad which is one of the only bagger jap bikes there is other than the Goldwing which doesn't count. I loved that bike but I already know I am going to enjoy the Vision even more!

Posts: 189 Baltimore, Md | I'm 59 ( the big 6-0 hits mid September and I am unafraid and moving forward). I've owned bikes small and large since I was 17 and even rode the dangerous streets and mountain roads of Bogota Colombia in the late 1980's. Beautiful riding country, but you had to keep your head on a swivel. I haven't yet purchased my Vision as I'm moving to a new home soon, but I started in the days of the Honda 50 (actually I had a Dream 150 if you remember those) and moved steadily up through the ranks, with my last being an '88 Gold Wing which I sold in 1993. I have retired early and am ready for my next bike - the Vision. Only the test ride left to go and I can't imagine that spoiling my plans. Prior to deciding on the Vision, I was shopping another new Wing or a Yam. Roadliner. I know, more than "what's your age", but I felt like sharing...sniff. |

Just glad to see I'm getting a little back up. I would have never dreamed a bunch of old buzzards would be interested in a Star Trek type of bike, just thought it would be too much of a stretch for them, you know set in their ways. I thought they would have been give me the classic HD bike. This bike appeals to a very wide spectrum of folks, I've been amazed. I have yet to get something to look naughty and perch upon my bike, I've had something angry with me back there, but then I digress. |

GRRRRRRR! The Poopckn is talkin "old buzzards" for the well seasoned, good lookin, matured, yes, veterans of time guys here. He is talkin smack like we know nothing, didn't recognize the V as the Bentley of Bikes. The majority of ages posted attest to the 50's grabbin this new invention, and futuristic life style. If I wasn't so far away from Tenn I would lead a parade to his chkn farm, bring my own chicks and show him beauty and the beast. Did he say "old buzzards"-- I better calm down now, have some coffee and rethink who this guy is. Chandler Tom, I know you, so no offense to your pics, nice! GRRRRRR! |

Waitress another shot of expresso for friend that timehasnotbeensonicetoo! His pumper is a little low on the Go-Juice and he is trying to get into that new Group - WHIZ PILOT. No it is not a new pop band reality show. It is only for those seasoned via time to be able to pull into EVERY facility and hang out while they take turns in the facility and swap stories.
This is a small breakdown of their daily ride:
9 am KSU (Kick Stands Up) at local IHOP. Gotta have coffee, food, and restroom.
9:30 Restroom break
11:30 KSU again.
12:00 Pull into favorite wing or burger shop for food, hottie waitresses (eye candy), RESTROOM
2:00 KSU again
2:30 Restroom Break
4:30 KSU again
5:00 Pull into Steakhouse for Veggie steak, Restroom, more EYE candy.
7:00 KSU Depart headed to house. Can't be out to late, gotta get my 9 hours and my weather watching in. Oh yeah, need the Restroom.
To all members, please feel free to add your own restroom stops. And easy on the coffee, we would like to get in at least the official 100 mile run, without having to take up another day.
Notice did not need fueling stop, didn't ride that far. DJ did say I lived tooooooo FFFFAAAARRRR! Hey DJ Might take you a couple of weeks but they do have restrooms the entire way between you and I.

So what we had were buzzards and since you boys like to fly, I just thought it kinda fit. But apparently I was wrong. GEEZER PILOTS, maybe I make a new patch for a bunch of special someone's. Then again GEEZER PILOT would have to go to your significant other's (SO's) because we all know whose piloting you around. Unless you are by yourself, well then it's back to your teenage years.

We didn't have Nintendos and Wiis and stuff like that so we had to play games like baseball and hide and seek in the dirt. Later on the army gave me a little shovel and I had to dig in it, so I'm sure there was dirt.

Posts: 3204 Memphis | You guys are the coolest 60+ yr olds on the planet. I pulled into the garage on the Vision during a driving rainstorm the other day and my kitchen was full of college-aged kids. I walked through the door, dripping wet with a big grin on my face and started peeling off raingear. Two minutes later I was being touched from all directions as they couldn't believe I wasn't a drowned rat. My clothes were bone dry. I walked into the living room and heard one of the kids mention to my daughter, "Your Dad is psycho!" I heard her respond "Tell me about it." Age and treachery... Gotta love it.

Posts: 82 Northwest of you | Along with "remembering", I see that your math skills are declining as well, since, out here in the "Northwest" 64 is older than 63. I will defer, however, because I still feel like I'm 12 and that is good and bad. Good that I feel young, bad that I don't feel very certain about all those things I was always so "right" about (like 64 is older than 63). Here's to many more years of enjoying ourselve on motorcycles................ |

Posts: 173 Prescott Valley, AZ | Age is but a state of mind, if your body tells you you're "50 something" and at the end of a day of riding you feel "30 something" you must be riding a "Vision". This soon to be 57 year old feels much younger since the first ride on a REAL Luxury Touring Motorcycle. Life in fact does get better with time.

Posts: 82 Northwest of you | See what you can look forward to when you become 64? You will skip over words that change the meaning of things. You will even become suspicious that people are conspiring against you, thinking that they somehow went back and changed earlier posts to make you look wrong, when you accuse people of not being able to do math. Stave it off as long as possible. |

Posts: 354 20 miles west of Chicago. | As it happens, you were right about my math skills, or more correctly, my lack of math skills. It was a matter of sheer luck that I got it right that time, which is probably why I felt compelled to mention it, it could have just as easily been wrong. Is there really a way to go back and change a post a day or two later? That would have saved me a lot of embarrasment on a few occasions. |

Posts: 320 Savannah, GA -Year round riding!! Yay! | I'm 40 for now... will be 41 in a few weeks. I guess as a "younger female", I really don't fit the demographic! (I married my 12 year older husband just to guarantee that I would ALWAYS be the "younger woman"!!)
