Working on hooking up the new plug on my 2009 Vision with a 660 Garmin. Has anyone hooked the two audio wires Purple and Brown together ? If so what did it do, compared to just using the Purple wire. Thanks for any and all help. Just retired at 62 this is my retirement present to myself. Love the Vision, going in for my first 500 mile service. Thanks all great forum. Charlie

Thanks Redrider, Sure is lots of good information here. I had a 2004 Kawasaki Nomad, great bike never any trouble. The Victory Vision ride is so much nicer than the Kaw, but the Vision sure has a lot more heat. Take Care Charlie

I installed a Garmin 660 on my 2009 Vision last year and I used both audio connections. I have noticed when the GPS unit is set up to give audio prompts I can't understand what it's saying; whatever audio input I'm listening to will mute, but the GPS audio output is too low to hear distinctly. I have used a small audio extension cable to connect to the GPS audio out plug and the motorcycle Aux. Audio cable with good success; using this connection and the GPS builtin MP3 player for music I can hear the GPS audio prompts. Most of the time I just mute the GPS unit and listen to XM radio.

I am having a problem getting my Zumo 660 to come through the sound system. Would you please comment further on the audio cable you used and the method you installed it with? I have a 09 Vision.
