Southern Maine | I got the OK from mama that we can go to the AVR in Iowa this summer and have started looking at routes. Any suggestions on great/bad roads, construction ,traffic ,places to avoid, must see. Plan is to take time and avoid highways. Looking at going thru Canada from Vermont to Sault Ste. Marie, thru Wisconsin, Minnesota and into Iowa. Any info would be great ! Thanks  | |

Litchfield Park, AZ | The ride along the Great Lakes should be great that time of year. I would take in Door County in WI and ride along Lake Superior. From there, take a ride down the mighty Mississippi. Any other routes just get you into the plains too quickly and honestly after you've seen the 1st 1,000 corn and bean fields you've really seen them all.
That time of year you will definitely hit road construction, so don't bother to plan around it, just look for the coolest route and then enjoy the ride. | |
