Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | Got home early Tuesday morning around 3:30am and had to go to work Tuesday afternoon. The Vision had been through 6,500 miles without an oil change and had a nice little tick to it. So it is back to work in the cage and since I get home late the Vision sits until today when I only work half a day. So it is time to change the oil so I can get back on it and ride, and she needs a bath. So as I'm washing up the bike I see an orange mark on the left TOP and some on the left saddlebag fading to the rear starting at the outward point. I'm thinking, what the heck and it seems to be be plastic. Then it hits me...
On Sunday, riding through the Rockys on I-70 around Denver I'm on the inside lane of a downhill run in between the inside jersey wall and a tractor-trailer rig on a hard left hand turn doing about 70+. I'm staying off the inside as much as I can because there are drain grates every so many feet, and then all of sudden there are barrels around one and all I can do is hold my own. I remember passing very close to them, but I never realized I was that close. Never felt a thing..... |

Posts: 599 New Mexico | Had a friend hit one with one at 55mph. Broke foot in two places, and jammed up his hip pretty bad. His was on purpose, though, trying to kick it over. One of those "Awww shit, why did I do that" moments. |

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | I have to change my story - I reviewed video of the where I thought this to have happened, but it does not seem that I came that close there. However, in West Virginia, coming over the mountains in the fog and in the dark with a lot of trucks, I do recall hitting a spot that spoofed me for a second because it moved the bike. Thinking it might have been a wet spot since it was not to long since it rained, I didn't think much more of it, but it did seem a little unusual. There was a lot of construction through them parts too and the barrels and cones where not as tall.

Then you can show them how you have sharpened them, like in a James Bond movie to take out the Evil Dr. Con Barrel. Of course, then you have the proof with the Orange on the TOP. Glad to hear you made it back and you didn't try to kick one of those barrels, like above. Since it appears you love to ride, that must have been one heck of a trip, sounds like a blast. |

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | I found that I could live on the road, but as John Denver once said "I'd ride my Vision all day if I could, But the Lord and my wife wouldn't take it very good, So I ride when I can and I work when I should, Thank God I'm a ridin' boy" or something like that... |

That would have to be "Orange Onnatop".
Get yer obscure 007 references right here, folks. Remember, all girl's names in 007 books have double entendre's for names.
