| I just got back from a ride and I have a problem. I got caught in the rain and I tried to raise my windshield and it would not go up. I just got done taking it apart to check it out. By the way it ain't easy getting to the fuse box with the shield all the way down but you can do it. Anyway the fuse was blown so I replaced it and the new one blew as I was putting it in. I took it apart and disconnected the motor completly. Put a new fuse in and it blew. The fuse is blowing when I install it and the motor is not connected and the ignition is not on at all, either. I can do pretty much any thing on the bike but the electrical is a bear to work on. My bike is a 2009 Vision. Everything else on the bike works as it should. This is the only issue . Any help would be greatly appreciated as the nearest dealer is about 100 miles away. Thanks |

Posts: 311 Atlanta Area | I just looked at the schematic... The windshield fuse also feeds the powerlet outlet in the trunk and glove box as well as your trunk "dome" light. It also feeds the switched 12vdc plug under the seat access panel (where your vin plate is located)...
Good luck and let us know what you find... |

You can either wait for it to dry out or carefully blow out any connector or the fuseblock in that circuit. If you've got an ohm meter, you can ohm the either of the fuse terminals to ground and trace back from the side that measures a short or low impedance to ground. It would be nice to know where moisture (rain) has seeped into the electronics. The electronics should be sealed and weather resistant. |

Let us know what you find. |
