Calling All Vision Riders!! Desert Jim and ChandlerTom are inviting any and all riders to join us for a day of riding, BBQing and attending the AZ Bike week in mass forces on Saturday the 5th of April. Azbikeweek (www.azbikeweek.com) runs April 1-6th, with plenty of other rides, open houses, cyclefest, and just plain fun.

April 5th Details:
Meet at Arizona Victory, 13401 N. Cave Creek Road, 85022, for donuts and coffee at 8:00, kickstands up at 9:00 for a 3-4 hour ride to Prescott AZ. Return to DesertJims house for BBQ and beverages. Late afternoon exit to Bike Week CycleFest with preferred staged parking at the Victory Tent.

Let's see how many states we can get to attend the first "Vision Rally", meet other Vision Riders, talk about our V's and be warm in the Sun, 80 degrees is guaranteed.

Send a PM to either DesertJim or ChandlerTom for questions you have.
If I need to call your wife to arrange your pass let me know.

CONFIRM YOUR ATTENDANCE ON THIS THREAD- LETS GO!

Man that sounds like fun. Unfortunately, that's a smig of a ride too far for me and CincNavMidSouthComCent, so for all you gents and ladies a goin' have fun and a chocolate Donut with a grande java chip frappachino all fat all whip lots of chocolate (Mr. Starbucks (Roseypalmbeachrider) should know what I'm talking about. Yeah, I would need the appropriate call in for said Week pass.

DJ - sounds like a great time. Take photos! I'd love to post a photo of a group oy you wearing the VR tshirts! That'd be awesome!
Unfortunately for me, it's in the opposite corner of the country. Who'll be making it to Laconia? (that's another thread - don't want to hyjack this one). Please give my regards to Mike Schultz. It's his article that premiered on VR back in June '07.

Everyone else - this will be a good time, try and make it! Show your support and spend some $$ at the dealership.

I assume you'll be stopping at Prescott Valley Motorcycles (the local Victory dealer)? Let me know about what time you think you'll be getting here and I'll speak to Jerry and see if he can set us up with something(s). As I work every Saturday I cannot meet you at AZ Victory but can sure meet up with you at PVMC and head south for a few hours.

Hey Bearcat... Sure we can stop at Prescott Valley Motorcycles... Desert Jim, do you know about what time we will be there. We can make that a stop for water and hanging out for a bit before we head down HWY 17

I spoke with Jerry (PVMC owner) and we'll set up some snacks/sodas for the group, just need an approximate time of arrival.
Prescott Valley M/C is right on Hwy 69 in PV and easy to see from the road. 6500 E. Hwy 69 on the north side.

If you can give me an approximate time of arrival at Prescott Valley M/C I'll let the local Vision Riders know and we'll get together while you're here and ride down with you. I've talked to a couple and they are interested. We'll also have some snacks and sodas or something set up there.

I'm hoping you guys will be getting to PVMC around 1030-1100 AM. Never got an answer back so I had to make a guess to let the other riders know what the plan is. Two of us have a club meeting at 10AM on the 5th but we both plan to be at PVMC no later than 1100AM. See ya on the 5th!!!!

If any of you are on the fence, or haven't checked in, let us know for Saturday's ride. Weather is going to be mid 80's. There are a lot of bikers in town already. Dealership open houses this last weekend with several hundred bikers in attendance.

We would love to see some out of state Visions!!!

Desert Jim,

Add me to the list for this Saturday! I live in Prescott, so I will meet the group at Prescott Valley Motorcycles. I'm looking forward to the ride to the BBQ and AZ Bike Week. Grand Funk Railroad will be giving a concert at 9 PM in the HandleBar Saloon. I know Rick (Bearcat), and hopefully he and some of the other Prescott Vision Riders will stay for the concert, so we will have a group for the ride back to Prescott. By the time we get back to Prescott, the temperature will be about 40 degrees. Prescott riders should bring cold weather gear for the ride home after the concert.

Leading the ride are ROGER BOURGET, PAUL YAFFE, JIM NASI, BRIAN KLOCK, MYRON LARRABEE, and AZ's Bike Weeks tributed guest KENNY PRICE.

A little more info about Friday's run...Temps will be in the mid 80's The ride goes through the back roads to Maricopa and then through the tribal land of the Sacaton Indians and then North to Scottsdale to the Tilted Kilt (this means more photos for me to place in my gallery!). From the Kilt we will ride into Westword for Cyclefest... Kansas will rock the house! Ride Hard and Rock on!

Great run all....Good meeting the Prescott Riders along with Calif. Vision Rdiers! The temps were as advertised in the mid 80's all day long. We had close to a dozen Visions meet up in the morning and then 2 more up in the hills...(along with several Jackpots and other bikes)

We took the back roads which included some of the best twisties in Arizona. It was cool seeing all those Visions leaning into those curves at fairly high speeds. Once up in Prescott, we visited the Prescott Valley Vic dealer... very friendly people! We then headed back down the hill to D-Jims house for some BBQ and relaxing. After that we rolled into Cyclefest at Westworld. Great day!

Big thanks to D-Jim for opening up his house to us and special thanks to Priscilla, his lively wife for putting up with us dusty bikers...

Ride hard...rock on

Had a great time on the ride Saturday guys, hope everyone enjoyed it as well. Wish I could have stayed longer but that "work" deal seems to get in the way of an awful lot of good times!!!! Again thanks for putting the ride together and hopefully we can do it again sooner than next year at Bike Week.

Hey forgot to mention this... One of the Reps from Victory jumped on one of the Demo Visions and started to ride in a circle. A very tight circle... In fact ,he kept speeding up and leaning harder until he was in a continuous "scrape" of the rear tip over protection... I wish I had my video camera... The Rep said he has been working on starting the bike in the laid down position and then popping it into gear to up right the bike! The King of Vision Pilots!
