Posts: 741 Central New York | I have not used one, but to look at it in the picture it scares the bat snot out of me. The ball/hitch connection already has a lateral pivot axis built in. This setup adds a second pivot point along the same axis leaving no direct firm bike to trailer connection along that axis. Probably tows well when all is good but I foresee a huge train wreck if something ever triggers a sway. |

Posts: 804 Perry Hall, MD | Have concerns about the torque that would be placed on what looks like a relatively flimsy mounting system, also, if it doesn't stay vertical in a straight run what happens to the trailer tracking and what torque is placed on the tongue or hitch?
Looks like one idea to walk away from.

Posts: 25 Southern Maine | I just got back from my first run with the pivot ball. It was also my first real trip towng a trailer, before putting on the ball I spent a day with a standard ball trying to get a feel for a trailer, the only time I knew it was there was on hard corner, a little too hot into a corner and had to make a quick correction and felt what seemed to me as a resistance on that last quick lean, I tried it several times to verify with the pivot-ball it is gone. I luv the twisties so felt it was important for my piece of mind if nothing else. Only 1000 miles so far so I can't realy speak to durability but have explored the handling and only have one issue ,but I don't think it is a ball issue but a trailer issue. Above 70 mph on interstate the trailer would start bouncing when passing/being passed by trucks, vans or suv's, not really a sway but a bounce. |

Posts: 412 Fargo, ND | I did buy one of these. I looked it over real well, and put it on a shelf in my garage about a year ago. As a matter of fact I just took it off the shelf and installed it on my garden tractor last week. |
