I just had mine in the shop to replace the hi/low switch. It would only give low most of the time, and occasionally one of the low lights would go out. Since replacing it though, it functions perfectly and the passenger side (lol) light stays lit all the time.

Both high beams could be blown. Both of mine did over a week or so, somewhere around 18-20,000 miles, if I remember rightly.

Dug up this old post and see al least one Vision lost both high beams, I seem to have lost both high beams also- got about 18,000 on the replaced light housing. High beam indicator light comes on. Bulbs look ok(doesn't mean much), no burnt spots. HID switch sometimes need a little help to get the light to come on,so I'll check the switch out. got some new ones on order-it just seems odd to loose both at once-any one else loose both high beams?

Mine's a '09 tour premium, the HID is workin' and both H4 bulbs light -but only when switched to low, no high beam on the two H4's- only the high beam indicator lights which leads me to believe the switch is OK. Switched the headlight relays around and nothing changed so it looks like I'll be replacing both bulbs. Guess if I'm gonna have to pull the headlight module I'd replace both bulbs anyway.

Lost both high beams together as well. Never did figure out why but I don't ride with them on all the time anymore.

Did you ever figure out the problem with your high beams? Just bought an '09 premium with the same issue!

Thanks!

Both high high beam filaments were burned out- the replacement PIAA's are working well. I was told, and it makes sense, that any conventional bulb the high beam filament is thinner (and therefore brighter) than the low beam filament and only engineered to burn for a fraction of the time that the low beam will. If you run on high beam all the time during the day you'll burn them out faster than if you ran on low-that simple. In reality the high beams in the day time don't give that much more visibility to oncoming traffic- park you bike and walk a 100' back and check the difference for yourself. I switched to running low beams in the day now and hopefully won't have to replace bulbs for a while longer-Brian

Don't be afraid to use your HID. Mine has been on since day one when I ride and it is still burning after about 2,440 hours of use. Also, yes please only run your high beam when you NEED to. Nothing despises me more than being blinded by a fellow BIKER that thinks the whole world see him if he burns his high-beams in the daylight.

My HID is always on too.
I used to run the High Beams but have started using the Low Beams.
My Visions also have the Clearwater LED lights which are excellent at contribute the see & be seen strategy.

I run the low beam and HID as well. I don't know if it makes a difference but I always turn the HID on after the bike is running and I turn it off before i turn the motor off.
