| I have a 3rd gen ipod nano that I use (well, try to use) in my 08 tour prem. The ipod locked up from the very beginning of cable installation. 2 or 3 trips to nearest dealer didn't resolve problem. They finally said they couldn't fix it and to take it to their main dealership that is almost 200 miles from my home. When I talked to the 'other' service dept. the guy there said,"I've never heard of such a thing". I proceeded to tell him to read this and other vision websites, he then admitted that the visions they had dealt with didn't use ipods.
In short any info to take with me to educate these 'experts'? |

Posts: 2118 Pitt Meadows, BC Canada | My dealer sold me an I-Pod Nano cable (factory issue) - and while I was paying for it - the service guys installed it (maybe 5 minutes) at no cost.
Worked fine - except did not charge the I-Pod. I read more of 'radioteachers' stuff - and then purchased a little 'connector' that fits between the I-Pod and the cable - and now it plays AND charges. Works SO WELL - I had my 10-CD Changer that I paid $700 for when I bought the bike - removed!!!
Anyone want to buy a 10-CD SONY Changer???? |

There was a post on one of the web sites that was all about this very subject. I believe radioteacher put it out. |

The short answer for the 2008 Visions is the check and upgrade the bikes software.

Just to add a wrinkle,
I believe someone has tried the new iphone 4 and it had issues with either the cable of the radio controls in general. Admittedly, this is 2nd-hand info and needs to be confirmed.

| Have a Dealer down load a updated program for your radio from Victory. This may solve it. |
