Posts: 55 Las Vegas, NV | I've had my Vision for almost 2 years now. I've taken it on a few long rides, but never on a REALLY long ride.
I live in Las Vegas, but I'll be working in Seattle for the next few months. I couldn't face a summer without my Vision. So, as I posted a week or so ago, I planned to ride it from Vegas to Seattle.
I have to say, it was an amazing trip. I am continually impressed by the Vision. I did 1189 miles in 2 days riding. After that much time in the saddle, I was totally comfortable. The bike has effortless power and handles anything I can throw at it without any form of complaint from the bike.
The amount in engineering that went into this bike never ceases to amaze me.

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | I'm riding to Cali, 2,600 miles one way without thinking about it. However, it is inconceivable for a lot of people, riders and non-riders alike. This will be my first over 1,600 miles and I'm allowing much more time than what I can physically do it in. I know the heat and the weather might be somewhat of a deterrent, but I plan on riding according to my ability with knowing when I have had enough.
Cometman, you're still on my slate so I hope we can work something out between 28 June and 7 July. The weekend of the 4th is a working weekend, so I really won't have any off days, but the evenings will be open for the most part.
I also have to share this. On facebook my brother had his picture of his bike and someone made a "nice" comment about it. Of course I come back with a little sarcasim. Then there was a response of what kind a bike do I ride. My brother responds with (paraphrase), it's a space ship looking thing, and his ears are getting pointed like a Vulcan. --- with that I'll have to get me some "ears" and get a picture with the Enterprise and the Bentley together.... |

Posts: 215 orrick, mo | Just short of owning my VV for a year and I've racked up almost 18500 miles. I had it for 3 days before I took my first road trip on it. A flawless 6400mile trek in 2 weeks. I'm going for another trip to southwest Colorado and southern Utah around the 4th of July. I'll be on the road for 10 days and will most likely top 4000 miles on the trip. I'm not one to wait for others to go riding and becuz of the confidence I have with the Vision I rode about 4500miles of the 6400 solo last year and will be hitting the road alone again this year withour any reservations. |

Posts: 466 Grand Cane, LA | SrBiff, I too was like you when I got my Vision. I waited till I had the bike about 2 months and then went on my first long trip with it. 5200 miles from Louisiana all the way to Klamath Falls, Oregon and different places in between. This was the first trip I had ever taken over 500 miles and I couldn't believe how comfortable it was. My Harley buddies on the other hand were griping everyday about how sore they were and I was the oldest of the bunch. They are all talking about trailering this year to where they want to go. I told them I would ride. |
