Hey All

We are trying to figure out what to wear on our trip which includes the desert. Obviously our leather might be a little on the warm side.

We have been looking into one of those 3 layers kinds with one layer being mesh so that we will not be as warm. One we have been looking at is the Power Shift II. I think that I had heard that the Victory Platinum is the same sort of thing, but I have not heard any reviews on the pros & cons or how people like it.

Does anyone have either of these jackets, if so how are do you like it?

Thanks

I use a mesh jacket from FirstGear and love the removable liner and armor inserts. For about $116 from a texas warehouse.

Get yourself a hydration vest that you can wear under the mesh. They're not expensive and very effective. The closest thing you can get for A/C on a bike! Vince.

Have this jacket and LOVE it!

Offers excellent protection for times when it is too hot for my leather jacket.

For 90F+ Philly area weather I like my Power Trip "Mojave" mesh jacket... it has less Cordura than my Fieldsheer jacket but the airflow is great and it's got armor in shoulders, back and elbows. If I were crossing the desert I think I'd look into the hydration jackets. They're supposed to be the best from what I've read.
