Posts: 323 Troy, NY | What are people using for cleaning and protecting their vinyl seats? All the cleaner/protector stuff I have seen are either for interior or specially states not to use on seats. I have read the bottle for McGreguers and Autoglym's vinyl/rubber products. Any suggestions? I'm guess the product can't be something that makes the seat slippery |

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | i just wipe mine down with a wet towel when I wash the bike. I've already gone through the ordeal when that crap gets old and starts to make the seat tacky. Leather would be a different story.

Posts: 562 SC, Bluffton | On all 3 of my bikes, I have scuff marks in the vinyl from where the bikes raised themselves when I was getting off. Not my fault. Anyhow I think I would have to gently melt or sand the scuffs out? I ain't dong anything about it until I see a good method, or I am trying to sell the bike.

Posts: 741 Central New York | I use Maguires ultimate wash and wax on the whole bike from the top of eh windshield to the bottom of the tires. I use a turkish towel with lots of solution so as not scratch anything. Rinse often. Then a good final rinse, hit it with the leaf blower and good to go. Water beads on the seat in rain and drys off quickly with a paper towel. Seat is not slippery and does not seem to be showing signs of "wax buildup". For me it is an easy 10 minute cleanup that looks close enough to "showroom" quality for me. I bought it to ride, not clean. But still, a man has to respect the looks of the machine!

| I use Murphy's Oil Soap on my interior vinyl parts of my car like dash, doors, pillars etc. It works extremely well and should work well on the vinyl seat. It seems to keep things soft and should keep the seat from cracking. Also it is really cheap. |

| I use Turtle Ice. I used to use ArmorAll and after the first or second stop sign the slickness was worn off. |
