Posts: 482 Beer Collins, Colorado (there is no fort) | I was hesitant after all the 'poppy' stories I'd read but missed my TC's mellow rumble. I picked up a new S1L2 kit off Ebay for $300 and installed it myself and took a ride down to Colorado Powersports to get it flashed-I was in & out in about an hour for $85. I'm very happy and don't know what all the fuss was about-perhaps the flash has been upgraded? It's much more well mannered than my TC that would sound like a popcorn machine engine braking down the mountain roads-I've had a pop here or there but those are due to a lack of throttle control on my part. I did put some NGK Iridium plugs I had on the shelf in prior to the upgrade (DCPR7EIX)that might be helping-at least they aren't hurting anything and when I roll on for a pass they know a V-twin went by-Brian |
