Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | Who here has changed out the bushings and/or bearings in the swing arm and shock/strut area? Since the front bearing has been changed I'm think I'm noticiing a slight roll in the rear end that might indicate time for a change there. Just got a few questions if you have changed yours. |

| varyder, mine had the upper shock bushings replaced at around 4k miles for being loose. As Kevinx said give them a look see. If you have the bike on a lift so the rear wheel is off he ground it makes checking easier. |

Posts: 1484 LaPorte,Tx. | The lower bushings are easy, uppers are harder. I had the rear tire off for replacement last week. While on my jack, I looked at what it would take to change the bearings or lub the center pivot. It looks easy enough, but I believe you would need a lift table to do the job safely. On my floor jack, I don't believe I could get up in the wheel well to remove the pin. Have a lift table, much easier. |
