What kind of trailer? Are you going to use an isolator?
You can also purchase the Bike specific Alarm Harness from Scorpio and use that to connect the trailer wiring. Will need mods but will not cut into the bike harness at all..

Posts: 135 Yellowknife, NT Canada | I think these are the connectors your talking about. they are the same connector that people have pulled the pins from to keep all 4 brake lights going.
You need both of these, the pins and the seals, and a crimper.. I have them all. Essentially then you take your trailer wiring off these. I put another connector on to the trailer harness so I can take it off after..

Are you saying that you have all of the required materials, or that you are a source for the rest of us to get them? I'm building a homemade trailer and am ready to install the LED lights. Will hook up with a Hitch-doc.
I really prefer the idea of using the harness plugs to connect the isolator and the 4710 for the trunk lights rather then splicing into the existing wires.
Any information is appreciated.

I used the 4710 to wire my trunk lid lights, I did not rewire the tail lights. I added an isolator at the same wiring point. My harness installs a short 10 pin connector under the seat between the Victory harness to the tail lights. From this short harness I made the tap connections for the isolator and the 4710. I put two 2 wire connectors (Metri 150 same as Victory uses) to take the new trunk wiring up. This way if the trunk is removed the additional connector is pulled apart. The power wiring for the 4710 and isolator pkg came from the battery through a watertight fuse holder and again I use the (metri 150) connectors so this can also be disconnected and removed. Finally I used another weather tight connector to connect to the trailer harness. I can remove the isolator and disconnect the harness when I am not trailering, or when I take the bike in for warranty service.
I used the isolator assemblies that came from here (they are supplied with the bushtec hitch kit for the Vision)

07660 This is the isolator to protect the bike wiring.
07663 This is the subharness and should be purchased with the 07660. This part would be connected to the bike therough the Scorpio harness.
07664 This is required only if you trailer has tail lights that serve as brake and turn signals in the same bulb filament. If you have separate turn bulbs from the brakes, you do not need this component..
With this setup, I can connect the bike back to stock, no taps or pinch connectors are installed over any of the Vision stock wiring. I also took the wiring for my Muth Mirrors from the isolator and used Metri 150 connector so I can disconnect that wiring as well.
It is my hope that by wiring all these items through the isolators, I will not have warranty issues with Victory. None of their cable harnesses were cut, splice crimped or modified in any way..
The other items I have been considering..
Buying the two trunk lights and modifing the new set with multiple bulbs.
Buying the rear V tail light assemble and building a sequential run blinker in it, with load resistors to keep the Vision happy.
