| Anyone else ever have a problem with the trunk lid on you rvision rattling even though it is closed? Used to put helmets in trunk bit of a fit but worked, afraid I may have stretched out hinges latches etc. Any tips on how to repair or do I just need to buys new hinges?
Thanks in Advance,

| Or just go to Lowes and buy some of the foam stripping and put it in the channel that goes around the inside of the trunk. You'll want it thick enough to apply some pressure on the lid. I want to say it was 1/2w X 7/8"h, but I honestly don't recall. |

Posts: 82 Fargo, ND | I had the same problem on my 09 Vision . My dealership actually tightened the latch (not sure how) but it seems the latch is a fraction higher and this requires a bit more effort to close the lid. I have not heard a single rattle since. Before that I took a 6"x 1" piece of sponge and closed it in the lid. It was temporary but it worked in a pinch.

Posts: 366 Albuquerque, NM | I noticed a truck rattle on mine also. My rattle is either the latch or the storage rack. Most likely te storage rack. One of the legs is loose. I had the trunk lid off earlier this year while doing the 4710 brake light mod but neglected to check the rack. Damn.....got to take the mirror off again without breaking it. Fishing wire and WD-40. |

Posts: 235 Kincardine, Ontario, Canada | There is a Polaris update for this, it comprises of foam strips that go behind the top lid side marker lights, and two rubber bumpers that go on either side of the trunk light switch.
This eliminated 90% of the rattles for me, but then I heard squeaks. I put small felt self adhesive pads between the panels of the trunk, speaker housing and main body of the trunk, that helped too.
Then I found the real culprit, it was the speaker grills. They are secured by a push pin device that had backed off allowing the grills to rattle and squeak. I pushed the pins back in and all the noise disappeared. |
