I continue to see oil spots on my chrome piece under my right leg on my '09 Vision. I had our local Vic tech look at it BRIEFLY to see what was going on....He said it was "probably" the overflow up around the cheese wedge...I was looking at it yesterday and noticed I now have a brown substance (presumably burned oil) on the jugs and valve cover on the back jug, there is a itty bit on the front valve cover but the back one looks like a HUGE bug splatter (but is slippery like oil not truly a bug) and of course the heat fins have the brown substance at the top slowly getting smaller as it migrates down.

My question is why does it continue to happen? I can wipe off the oil on the chrome piece under my leg and in a couple of days notice that it is started back getting more blown on oil spotas...You can see the little drips and where the air has caused it to run a little...This has been going on for the past three oil changes andf I can't see how I would have excessive oil each time they did the oil change....Also, Had the 10K service done and nothign was noted out of the ordinary then either...But 10K service is not much really...

Any ideas???

one idea is that there were some with the bottom gasket leaking on the jug. I'm curious also about the oil dipstick as to whether it could be pushing past there some how. Just my thoughts for what it is worth...

varyder....All my oil is on the top part of the motor not down low...one piece I forgot to include the dipstick indicates that the oil is full but not past the line mark just on it or a touch/hair below it

May be a dumb question but are you checking your oil off of the kick stand or on the stand?

your dealer should have definitely done something about it in the first service, much less the 2nd or 3rd. Sounds like a lazy tech if you ask me. I would take it there or somewhere else and get it checked and fixed. Victory's don't leak. Period! Haha!
