| My brake lights and cruse control arn't working. The lights light up but don't shine brighter when either the front or back brakes are applied, In reading the manual the cruise will not work if the brake circuit is not working proper. I checked the fuse labled ts/brake and it is ok. Any suggestions? I will keep all informed as I am going to see the dealer in a week |

| Did you install leds in the rear? That is the most common if you also did not add resistors. Are there bulbs burnt out? |

| I did not install leds or any other add ons. All 6 bulbs are lit ( 3 each side) turn signals work, flashers work just the break lights which are the middle and bottom (I believe) are supposed to get bright I don't think it would be all 4 bulbs (brake bulbs) that would go all at once so I haven't checked the bulbs yet.

| Wow, I have the same issue, I think, so where is this sensor that failed. Maybe I should replace that same sensor. M+y brakes are either showing engaged or just bright and the Cruise control doesn't light up on the dash. Let me know where and what was the part type. Looking to do a road trip next weekend to the coast with the wife.
Thanks |

| bensyl, the delaer had to order the swich. I was going to ask him to point out to me where the switch is located when i pick up the bike. I also asked them to submit it in as a warranty item and they are. we will see how victory treats it. I am hopefully picking up the bike this friday. Sounds like you have the same issue cause my cruise is what triggered me to look at the brakes and i hardly ever use the cruise. I would call your dealer. I will keep you informed of any furhter info

Posts: 432 Gettysburg, 2008 Tour Premium | I had the handlebar switch repl two weeks ago. The switch is sealed but it seems the spring that pushes the switch out as brake lever is pulled failed. I was able to restore the function of the cruise system and brake light function by disconnecting one of the wire plugs going to the switch. Of course the lights and cruise interrupt only worked with the brake pedal at that point. I just wanted to give a heads up in case any of us are traveling and this happens so we could have this option until proper repair can be made. |

| good point wroman. I knew that I had another issue than yours becuase both the front and rear breaks would not illuminate the brake lights. This is how you learn more about your bike and if you do break down or have problems you just might be able to do a quick fix. |
