1. Reputation of your painter
2. Quality of the paint he will be using.
3. How many coats is he expecting to apply
A good powdercoat is not going to be cheap. Problem is, most people dont know good from bad to look at it. If you are getting all of the stock aluminum powder coated your price should be around 1800.00 to higher. If you have some jack leg doing it all for 500.00,, run,
or just keep my name in your file because i have all of my original aluminum parts boxed in my storage unit,,, you can buy them to replace what he did. Good luck, tell us how it goes |

| Prices vary in differant locals. Have several places quote pricing. Color will also be a factor. My bike is black wich is more common. The other colors are going to be harder to match. That is where you can spend as much as 500.00 for the powder to color match. The other option is to wet paint with the factory paint that is available. I ride with a midnight cherry Vision owner who did this and the bike looks nice. |

I deal with Powder painters everyday and have done so for 20 years. We send parts out for powder and wet painting all day every day. How many coats? Never heard that when talking about powder. 1800.00? You are way off. Black powder coat on all the aluminum panels should not cost more than 300.00 for a quality job. Even a custom made powder color would not cost 1800.00. |

It's just when you cure it in the kitchen oven, the female unit overheats. |

| Got a buddy that could do mine for free, but I like the aluminum, lol.... I agree with the earlier post which suggests $300. Now if you have someone doing the chrome powdercoating in colors it runs a little bit more but I'd expect no more than around $750 for all the aluminum panels. |

| Got mine done two weeks ago.......gloss black powdercoat with clear powdercoat on top.......all the aluminum except console (which I had done last year to eliminate windshield glare) $100 total. Done at a local powdercoat shop and they look excellent! |

Posts: 115 Columbus, Ga | Well I dropped off all the aluminum panels today to the powdercoater and he quoted $175.00. Now I have to wait and see what I get back. I did get to see some of the work he had laying around the shop and it looked good. |
