Someone please tell me how to remove the side panels. There is one bolt I cant get to and I'm wondering how much of this motocycle I need to disassemble to get to it. Frustrated to say the least but hope I'm just missing something simple.

Thanks
Chris

I just had the whole front and sides off. I started with the chrome pieces either side of the front tire, then the turn signals, radio panel and storage/gas panels, and then the sides. The only one I really had trouble with was the 1 on the left of the headlight on the signal panel. Had to improvise since you can't get a rachet in there.

Here you go in the order to remove and try not to stray from this or you might break parts. First the chrome instrument bezel, use a plastic scraper as a pry tool start at the top and pry down it pops out hard. next the acsess in front of the seat then the air deflect beside the side (whitch is called the lower leg),then the tank covers then the one bolt thats hard to get to just take your time. The side(lower leg)front grill and side with the lighted badge come off at the same time all conected together but you also must losen the front tip-over you do not have to remove the headlight turn sig. or upper fairing repeat do not they come off last because the lower leg clips into the upper fairing that the turn signal is above. Why are you removing it just would like to know? Dain

I just did a black out mod this winter. The shop manual was a great help when I was taking this thing apart. Seems you always have to take 5 other things off just to get to the one you want!
