| Have te bike ready to do the middle brake light mod and I was curious how to push out the pins rather than cut. Anyone have pictures or a video of it? I tried doing a search but I may have missed it.
Also there is a pair of wires with a grey connector hanging free under the seat. Looks like its coming from the radio area. What is that? |

Posts: 492 Indianapolis, IN | The plug under the seat is the supply for an optional 12volt plug used for passenger heated gear. There is also one under the cover in front of the seat for the rider's heated gear plug. BTW these plugs can be used for any 12v accessory you may want to control on and off with the ignition switch. |

Posts: 88 Lavon, TX | The rear plug is battery constant 12V (same as the one in the trunk, if you have a tour); the front plug is ignition switched 12V (same as the one in the glovebox). I plug my battery tender into the rear plug (using cigarette to powerlet adapter). NOTE: if you ever feel adventuresome and want to implement my Sequential Blinkers mod (listed in Vision Tech Ref), you will need these two wires reconnected in order to get turn signal override (of brake signal) on the active signalling side. So, try to carefully remove them rather than cut them. |

I would prefer to remove them rather than cut but I'm not sure how to do it. |

Posts: 741 Central New York | Pin G and H. I do not recall which connector half I did, it was the smaller of the 2 halves. Unclip the plastic wire retainer on the rear of the connector then push out the pin with a stiff wire. I used a torch tip cleaner because it was handy. I suppose a paperclip would work. Just poke around a bit till the tab releases and it will slid right out. |

| I just did the mod last week I used a small drill . Use the solid end and push with the flutes in a vise grip or leather gloves. don't forget to wrap with self stick electric tape. |

Posts: 135 Yellowknife, NT Canada | If you pull the pins going to the back side of the bike, and tape them to protect them, the the leads that are powered for this purpose stay in the connector.. Just a thought... |
