Posts: 3204 Memphis | I'd put a full page ad in "Aviation Week", "Flying" and "Air & Space". These provide worldwide circulation to pilots who are natural born gadget hounds. They are the poster children for the demographics that the Vision was designed to go after. One shot Super Bowl commercial, like the original Apple Mac commercial in 1984. Internet buzz would take care of the rest. To be honest, I think Victory has been holding it's breath to see just how well the bike would be received before spending a lot of bucks on advertising. The next year will probably be much more hi viz. Just a guess. |

Posts: 150 Las Vegas, Nevada USA baby! | As I was at Hoover Dam yesterday on the way back from Kingman, AZ visiting my Dad, I thought to myself, "Ed; just park out on the road edge of the Hoover Dam Overlook pulloff/snack/potty stop and watch folks look". I wish I would have had a video camera!
I answered a lot of questions, for tourists, locals etc. I thought if the local dealer just had someone sit there with a Vision several days a week, the word would get out to thousands per day. Who knows how much money they'd waste doing it though.
I had people wanting to pose in front of it a lot because the Hoover Dam Sign and the dam was in the background. My favorite was a luxury tourbus load of Japanese young folk when I was heading south across the dam on Saturday morning early. The girls especially wanted their pics taken in front of it. Comical, yet invigorating!
I'll try to get a pic up on my gallery later this week. |

Posts: 320 Savannah, GA -Year round riding!! Yay! | I feel like I'm already a rolling advertisement! I can't go anywhere without someone asking me about it (you know the questions..."What is that?", "What size engine?", "How many feet of runway for takeoff?"....) I kinda feel like Mother Victory should have me on the payroll sometimes!!!

One of us could be the sexy spokes person, Pollopoot tells me Desertjim looks good in a thong...I KNOW, I'm just saying...sheeesh. |

Posts: 177 NW Illinois | A friend of mine that lives in Wisconsin said he saw a commercial for the Vision on TV this past week, could not remember what channel he was watching but thought it may have been ESPN. He said it was good but really did not elaborate.
Has anyone else seen this yet?

Posts: 256 Florida | I've had people tell me they saw a Vision commercial on A&E and National Geographic. This makes no sense to me. My choice would be to advertise on the financial networks and go after the mid-life crisis guys with cash to burn. Just an opinion. |

Posts: 294 rhode island | ad's on american thunder on speed channel, touring ad only same one thats on the victory web site. they need some fresh ad's with the street version. I think targeting riders with luxury is the way to go. victory should remain a somewhat elite brand, higher quality than the mainstream bikes with lower production numbers. I liken the vision as the bentley of motorcycles. Owning this very special motorcycle sets us apart from every thing else on the road.

Posts: 3204 Memphis | I totally agree sandman. How about showing a guy pulling into his garage on a Friday afternoon with the bike in the Street mode. Then having the garage door open up on Saturday morning and the bike comes out in the Tour mode as Hubby and Wife head out for a weekend adventure! Cue Fleetwood Mac: "You can go your own waaay..."

Posts: 294 rhode island | Originality, performance and quality sets victory heads and shoulders above everything thats out there. Some performance minded comercials with a vision street setting the pace in some canyon carving with goldwings and BMW's trying to keep up would for sure get some notice. The handling on this bike should be promoted. |

Is yours leaking fuel? If I smelled gasoline in the morning, it would probably be the GL1500 sitting next to my Vision. I like the sound of Freedom (106) in the morning which means certain VICTORY! |

Posts: 235 Evergreen, CO | Polaris should establish a rental network at the Victory dealers....only 2 or so Visions (with a like number of each Victory model) would be required at each dealership. Place an ad in the various motorcycle magazines with only a color picture of the Vision, with a caption underneath announcing rentals at the dealerships, the in larger letters, simply the words "Experience History Being Written. Victory Rentals NOW at Your Local Victory Dealer". Curious folks who have read about the Vision would be drawn to #1 finding out where their nearest Victory dealer is located...#2 would reserve a rental for a day or a weekend......#3 after the ride be drawn to the Vision and in many cases decide to purchase. It's a win for the interested consumer, a win for the dealerships, a win for Polaris. Much better than advertising on television. |
