Central New York | Has anybody personally tried these: http://www.kewlmetalstore.com/product_info.php?products_id=42 Are they a straight "bolt on" mod? Does the chrome hold up? Does the helmet beat the crap out of the bike? I've got a "street" and these seem like they may be a good option.

Anderson, IN (48mi NE of downtown Indianapolis) | I'm looking for a helmet lock too. But, I want one that will allow the helmet to stay in the right-side-up position. This way when it rains while I'm in the the bar it won't fill up with water.
I'll probably have to make something myself. I have a couple of thoughts in my head, but nothing that I really like yet.
Anyone have any ideas? |

Anderson, IN (48mi NE of downtown Indianapolis) | I usually ride without the trunk. The bags will hold a halfy, but in the winter I use a full face. When I leave work, I usually make several stops on the way home (Lowes,grocery, Best Buy, pickup kid from school, etc). It is really a pain to carry around a full-face helmet while trying out cordless impact drivers at Sears. There is no way it will fit in those tiny lockers at the gym. It would be nice to set it on the seat and it automatically locks down. I probably won't find anything quite that easy, but I'm sure I'll figure something out. Too bad helmets are not made with laptop style lock holes. I wonder if the Kewlock unit can somehow be mounted near the seat... |

East Ohio | I have had a set of them over a year now, love them, look good, work well, I have to use the extenders as my d-links wont fit the slot, but no issue, they are a straight bolt on mod, there is an xtra piece for the visions, i recommend them, ps I always have the trunk on, but when riding 2 up, there is not enough room for 2 helmets there

SC, Bluffton | I bought the pair. I don't use the left one as I find the helmet needs something between it & the paint. But I really enjoy the extra length & bump the Kewlocks put on the bars. There is now a grove at the bar end you can just hold with your index finger went you want your hand way out. I haven't read any maintenece tips for the pins-locking mechanism. I was wondering if I should put some graphite in there?

Saskatchewan (hard to say, easy to draw ) | I just use the helmet peg.... same as for wing from Kuryakin. Works good but you need to shave the shank back to fit the clutch pin. See the Gallery for photo. |

Gettysburg, 2008 Tour Premium | I have had a pair since last fall and they work great. For whatever reason I needed longer bolts to get them to work but Lowes had the correct size M6 bolt. As far as keeping the helmets dry I use a couple of helmet rain covers I bought when I had a Goldwing. They are a felt lined bag with a hole in the bottom for the D-Ring. We are both a couple of gypsies and carry a bunch of stuff most of the time so often the trunk is loaded with who knows what she wants to bring just in case. |

, FL United States | I bought and installed a pair over a year ago and they work well - especially since I also have King Bagger's center stand, which keeps them hanging straight down and off of the paint. The only thing I don't like is that the chrome on the right hand one flaked off after a few months - must be the humidity and "salty" air in Florida.
I also have helmet rain covers with the slit in the bottom to cover the hanging helmets when the weather is threatening. |

Tavares, Fl | I looked at the locks but didn't like they way they hang when on the side stand. I have a drivers backrest so I bought two Yamaha Venture helmet locks and bolted one on each side of the back of the backrest and they work great. The helmets sit on the seats when locked.... The Venture locks will bolt with one screw and one hole on a flat surface.... |
