Posts: 2300 Georgia, west of Atlanta | Since the Vision line has been out over three years now I was wondering, does anyone know how many Visions have been sold ? I was thinking maybe 12,000 ? We all know the looks aren't for everybody. Some people can't handle the Art Deco Aero look................ |

Posts: 1484 LaPorte,Tx. | There was a lot of discussion back in 08 about the number of Visions produced. If I remember right the number is approximately 2500. With the recession in 09 I would not think Victory would have produced more than that. Plus in 10, with the intro of the X bikes, I would also think the number of Visions would not be increasing much. Some dealers still have new 08 & 09 Visions. So my WAG is less than 7500. |

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | I see Visions quite often here in Central Va... when they get rode. But at the open house there were three, no four counting the dealers since he owns his. I can think of another 3 or 4 off the top of my head. I don't recall whether it was here or on theVMC but one poster commented on the number of Visions he saw down in the hampton roads area, and he's from southern Maryland.
Funny too, I rode with both Lone Ranger (Elton) and the Joker (Mitch) while in Atlanta and neither had seen the Vision from the rear on the road, so I gave them both a look. |

Posts: 2118 Pitt Meadows, BC Canada | My 'guess' was just that - a guess. About year and half ago, I heard about the 2500 or so first year number - and we had almost exactly HALF of that number as members. BEFORE the 'recession'.
When I recently looked at the member count - it was 2020 - give or take a couple - so I used the 50% from my first look - and 'guessed' that maybe 4000 or so were sold in first 2 years.... we are still early in the 3rd year.
We have maybe 150,000 populace in North/West Vancouver - and I haven't seen another VV in my travels - be nice (but selfish) to keep it that way.
If the number is HIGHER than my 'guess' - then that means that the number of Vision Owners vs VisionRider Members is DECREASING.
AND THAT TROUBLES ME....
Or maybe the new Visions are so perfect, that the newer owners don't care to listen to our moaning..... |

Being a Victory owner puts you in an exclusive club. Being a Vision owner puts you in a very exclusive club.

Posts: 1117 Northeast Ohio | Yeah, and a few of us have the 9th Anniversary Limited Edition Super Steel Gray version. Victory had to stop making them because too many of the "other color Vision owners" complained that the SSG appears to be the fastest color. Just as GM stopped making the Buick Grand National in 87 as Corvette owners were complaining.
Now, back to your regularly scheduled programming. |

GO SSG.........................
+1.
I've got a red 2000SC and an SSGTP Vision. Don't see another like either of them very often. I like it like that.

| I'd say probably 2500 per year for 08 & 09 have been produced and of those probably half are still sitting on dealers floors. Victory has lost a LOT (more than any other manufacturer) dealerships during this last year. ALL bike manufacturers have a LOT of leftovers on their dealer floors, but for many Vic dealers that were smallish, the poor economy was enough to put them out of business. My dealer sells quite a few bikes and he has two 09's still sitting on the floor and may have more in the back since he recently purchased some from closing dealers.
Strange thing I noticed about Victory, they sell in pockets. For example they seem to sell very well in Maryland & Ohio. Seen quite a few in VA, and some in upstate NY, but the real hot places seem to be Maryland and Ohio. PA is beginning to see more Vic sales so they are catching on and starting to filter into the market that use to be dominated by other brands.
Just ask yourself how many Visions you've seen while out riding or traveling? My guess is like myself not many. I kinda like the unique nature of ownership. Of course the weather is just now turning so sales should pick up.
The 2010's haven't made their way onto my dealers floor yet, but he does have a Crossbow sitting in there now. |

Posts: 1158 Richmond, Virginia | I just heard an interesting story about the bike colors, thought id share it with you guys. The SSG Super Steel Gray was actually an accident. Its really the black bike that shot out of the plant so fast all they could get on it was the gray primer .
So you boys, bring your bikes back and get the finish paint on it like its supposed to have. LOL |

I am still amazed that I draw a small crowd of lookers and questioners at most every stop I make!
Today riding out in the Country the wife and I stopped at a couple mom & pop country stores. Drew a crowd of other bikers at every stop.
Yes, I like it!
