Posts: 575 Spirit Lake IA "Birthplace of Victory Motorcycles" | OK, I've been pretty prolific this winter getting my bike set up just like I want it. 2009 Vision. Garmin 660 is all integrated with power and sound. Clear tail lights with 92 LED's for stops and for amber turns . . . thanks to a load equalizer, it is even flashing normally. I've performed the middle stop lamp vasectomy. Mounted 99 LED mounted in trunk "seam." iPod integrated well (still gotta work on my playlists)
Only problem I'm having is my cruise doesn't work. I read once long ago that since the LED's don't pull the same juice, that sometimes this happens. I added a 2 amp load equalizer to TS, and it still doesn't work.
Do I need to add 2 more 2 amp load equalizers to stops to get this working right? Anyone have any advice before I take it to my dealer and ask them to fix it under warranty? You guys seem to know more on these types of things than my dealer. Any advice is appreciated!

| I am using 10 ohm wire wound resistors in parallel with all 6 of my leds in the back and that made them work fine.

Going to try that. Was your cruise not working prior to doing this and this solved the problem? Some bikes have the issue and some don't. |

Posts: 123 Marysville Washngton | so, I am having a similar problem after installing the Kuryakin controller. There is a small build of load traveling through the controller to the tail lamps. (not led) that caused my brake lights to be on constantly thus stopping the cruise from working. Do you think i should try some resistance? |

| Is the Kuryakin turning the brake lights on because they are tapped in for power? If so place a diode in series with the cathode side towards the kuryakin. |

OK soooo, I buy 6 of these http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2062291&CAWEL... and wire them in parallel under the seat where all the tail lamp harness runs? Sorry to sound like such a rookie, but my exhaustive electrical experience has been limited to squeese type taps: http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2104093.
To wire these in parallel, are you stripping the wires and soldering both end to each wire? Tapping in with squeese taps? One end to wire and one to ground? Thanks for having patience with us rookies!

| Soldering is best, but I did not have my tools when I did mine (too impatient) so I butt spliced them into some wire then t tapped those into the wires going back to the lights. Then took the other ends to ground. Worked first time and still going. No problem. If you where closer I'd give a hand. Those are the ones. Just tape or heat shrink over them so they don't touch each other. |

If I understand the concept of the diode it is like a one way gate for the electricity. My problem is not that it is flowing backwards but that it is flowing to the tail lights and making them think they are brake lights and thus causing the cruise not to work. When we put a test light on the wire the flickering stops for a bit and the tail lights appear normal for a bit. That is why I was thinking resistor. |

| Are you sure you have it hooked up right? Try the resistor, there not expensive. |
