Posts: 482 Beer Collins, Colorado (there is no fort) | I was out in the garage today just sittin' on the couch having a beer watching the cold wind blow the snow off the roof and contemplating the Vision in front of me- In a moment of inspiration I dug out some silver pin striping tape I had and within a few minutes had changed the overall look of the bike. I'm liking the way it looks. Very inexpensive and easy-Brian

I was also looking at the pinstripping but I don't know if I have that kind of coordination any more... but you've given me some inspirations and I like the look you created, nice. RT are talking about that 2" reflective tape??? lOl.

Posts: 3006 San Antonio, TX | varyder,
Like ByteN2it linked to, they do make narrow pinstripe. I remember a while back a tape that looks black during the day but it reflects white at night.
http://www.colebrothers.com/reflective/index2.html
It comes in 12 inch by 30 foot rolls and can be cut by a CAD vinyl cutter. I am thinking BACK OFF! reflected on the trunk.
It is also available in 1/4 inch rolls.
Here are some pictures of it on a back tire.
Lights on

By the way, I love the door edge chrome. Looks like I need to make a run to Pep Boys...I gotta keep up with the varyders.

I like trim around your fender. Did you use trim adhesive to hold it in place? Tom

Posts: 113 East Ohio | I got 18' of the chrome door trim for $10, I used it along the front fender, on the top edge of the access panel and on the inside edge of the inner faring. I also went with the chrome pin stripe.
The bike color is one of the reasons i went with the "limited edition", love my Scarlet and SS Gray

Posts: 423 northwest florida | I bought from a local vinyl sign shop a 18" X 24" piece of silver scotch 3M reflective tape for $5. The sign shop does the lettering on the all the local law enforcment vehicles. I am going to cover the tail piece on the lower back of the bike. |
