Hello all, been a while.

I run my Zumo 550 and GXM, radar detector and iPhone (internet radio) through the 3.5mm female input.

I was wondering if there is a way to keep the 3.5mm female input and add the Victory iPod cable.

I want the capability to charge my iPhone 3GS and control it through the Victory controls but also keep the Zumo and all the other stuff.

Anyway to do this? Any suggestions? Can I build some sort of toggle switch?

Ideas?

NOPE.. one or the other.. at least thats how it is on my 08 model..

btw the it Wont control your Iphone anyways. it would only (if your lucky) charge it and let it play. you would then have to control each song you want it to play.. the controls for the iPOD arent for the iphone. there is even certain Ipods it wont work with! thats how picky it is .... I used the 4gb little ipod (cant remember its name right now.)

Hmm, that's disappointing. Most people are moving towards phone/mp3/ipod player. Most new cars have the USB to control the Ipod/iphone or usb stick. You would think Victory would also be cutting edge in this area.

Someone mentioned that it might be possible to run both if you have the audio harness. Any thoughts on that?

Hey Rob...I have a Droid phone by Verizon it plugs into the MP3 jack...it has a built in GPS as well as Internet Radio with a multitude of stations most commercial free as well as the ability to upload my own tunes. It plays thru the system just like a MP3 player...I bought the car mount which has a suction cup on it which allows me to mount it on the Vision via a suction cup mount pad that you can purchase just about anywhere. So now I have my tunes, GPS as well as the phone itself. As soon as momma sez yes I am going to purchase the Scala G4 headsets for my helmets which will allow me to hear music, phone calls as well as GPS directions via the bluetooth technology right in the helmet. The only draw back is the weather...but I figure I can just throw the phone in my jacket or trunk to keep it out of the elements. I know its not exactly what you were looking for but for me it avoid the need to purchase a expensive GPS or worry about Ipod issues?? Just a thought...not trying to hijack your thread.

I bought the I-POD cable and used it for the first time on the weekend. Worked great, BUT.... now I need to make up a library that works with loud pipes at 70 MPH. A lot of my music is just too mild for the bike - great in the car, BUT...
Speaking of car - I have a 2010 Mazda 3 with EVERY option. BUT... it has the same AUX connector that my '08 Vision came with. I went to the Mazda dealer to talk I-POD - this is what they said: $450 to install I-POD wiring (which they had in their catalog).
Vision : $70
Mazda: $450

Go figure..... told Mazda to go F*** themselves if they couldn't do better than a 2008 motorcycle.... from America.

the new ipod cable works with the Iphone, just like it does with my nano. Only issue is that you can't use the phone, it has to be in airplane mode when it's plugged in with the vision's cable.

My 3Gs works while plugged in. I had it playing and when a call came in the music went dead. When I ended the call the music resumed. I have the new twin plug cable.
