Gday,
ive done 10k on my 08 vision and of course im loving it, except!!

I have had this intermittent "noise" in the rear end, sounded like and felt like a dragging brake pad etc,
id apply the rear brake and the noise would go away then return once brake was off!! tended to be at slow speeds

I have read lots of earlier posts on here about belt alignment, doesnt seem to be much said lately

I was riding the VV a few weeks ago on a right hand sweeper with a pillion and i heard a rumble i thought it may be the tyres E3s

so at the last service, i told dealer about it , they said they checked the whole rear end, I trust them
and after riding away from the shop the noise returned.

as i was coasting up to a traffic light i felt a vibration, appeared to be coming from the right rear,
it was a wheel speed vibration,

Im thinking it might be a wheel bearing or is this what a wrongly aligned belt does?

I had a hammer for a few days and it gave no such noise or feel from the back end

thanks for the wisdom out there

regards
Phil.

I had the exact same noise. I found a stick which had become wedged in the sprocket/drive belt and was rubbing. The sound was intermittent like you describe. Check closely and see if something is caught up there near the drive belt.
