Just checking the forum for any lists of riding tunes.... I need to get my MP3 loaded for the season and would like suggestions as to where to find song lists. I know taste and all vary but comeon, we all chose the same bike so song lists should be close! Songfan , you gotta have somethin!

I use the online services like Limewire, Morphious, I tunes, and what ever site I can find to get music for free. I normally get my teenagers to do it thaey are fast and get what ever I seem to want.

There is a site called Beemp3.com that has a large archive of songs as long as you know the artist or song title. And yes, they are free.

I download the free MP3s from Amazon. When I don't like something I just delete and it don't cost me a penny.

I like listening to Lo-Pro. They are kind of alternative/rock. They have a nice pace, but better set your cruise or you may end up riding faster than you want while listening to them!

Lessee hyah...

If I'm in a rocking mood... I'll put on '90's and later alternative stuff.
Songs like:
Godsmack: Touche, Running blind, Good Times Bad Times
Bush: Machinehead, Glycerine, Comedown
Chris Daughtry: Crashed
Limp Bizkit, Papa Roach, Linkin Park, Puddle of Mudd, Pearl Jam and select singles from other artists.

I have a classics rock mood that includes Kansas, Blue Oyster Cult, The Who, Trimph, Styx, Rush, etc.

To mix it up, I have separate playlists for those who are a style unto themselves:
Pink Floyd - Concept albums must be listened to front to back
Marillion - same
Seal - same
Dave Matthews - I pick and choose singles. I like about 30% of what he puts out
Genesis/Phil Collins/Peter Gabriel run together in my mind... (I wonder why? duh)

I also misspent a bunch of time ripping comedy soundbytes from radio.
Bob and Tom have Tim Wilson and Paul&Storm from DaVinci's Notebook on a lot... along with Sean Morey and others. WDVE puts out lots of routines on CD. I've got some paraodies from Paul Shanklin of Rush Limbaugh Show fame. This funny stuff really breaks up the miles.

I have attempted audiobooks, but the dynamic range on some productions is not suitable for riding. It's catch as catch can on those things. Try the local library.

I've got over 500 songs on my mp3 player but there is not much better than when Bob Segar's
Roll me away comes on. Volume and throttle both get cranked.

Many, many thanks! Too old to remember what they were called but I see 'em and say "Yup. I want that one" .... and sing 'em ( only when riding solo). A good start to the list I will give the kids to get and load for the summer run. Going from Saskatchewan through to Zion Nat. Pk. then over to coast and 101 up to Seatlle and back through Logan's on the way home. Momma and I have the Ipod, a shuffle and an MP3 to fill and lots of time to listen to 'em so thanks for the lists! I get stuck on Skynard and forget Nickelback so selection lists sure help. Checking out the VOG net link ( thanks Radioteacher).
