Posts: 639 Tri Cities, WA | Well after dealing with victory and my local dealer we got it done. For some reason 08 Visions did not want to take the new flash firm ware for the radio from victory. The 09-10 models had no issues but apparently the 08's did including mine. When they tried to do it it would lock the system and would not allow you to do anything. So victory and there software guys sat down and got to working on a fix. They used my bike to test some of there software fixes and they finally got it dead on. So now my radio has ver 5.21A on it. I also had them install the new $99 cable and my radio and Ipods work great. I tried my 3rd gen and 4th gen and even a itouch and they all work like they should have and they charge as well.
Anyone else have this done to there rides yet?

When I got home, I plugged in my I-POD NANO and it worked fine - controls all work, it charges - and this on an '08. Maybe my dealer did the 'flash' without me knowing....
Oh, well. If it ain't broke - don't fix it.... |

what does the new firmware do ?
Some owners have had radios with quirky behaviors like
- poor reception
- poor sound
- mysterious changing of stations or ipod songs
- ipod problems
- electrical hiccups
Reflashing (and updating) the firmware helped. |
