| Most of the time when I start my 2010 Vision the starter sounds like any other starter motor as it turns over the motor until it fires. But every once in a while it gives off a really weird sound that is a lot louder than normal and sounds like it is trying to tear itself apart. The motor still starts and usually the next time around it sounds perfectly normal.
Has anybody else experienced this? Is it time to call in an exorcist? |

| At least I now know I'm not the only one. I started my bike yesterday and it made that strange sound that I likin to the strangling of a cat. My wife was standing beside the bike and said "what the heck was that". I replied "at least I now know that it isn't just my imagination playing tricks on me". |

Starter motor sounds, shifting, clutching, all are quite different. I'm getting used to the long throws on the shifter (as compared to my previous Metric bikes). Definitely different. |

My previous bike was a Yamaha Royal Star Tour Deluxe. They were known for their significant clunk going from neutral to first but the starter motor never sounded like it was posessed. |
