I discovered two oil leaks on the bottom of the cylinders where they attach to the base. Sorry that I don't know the proper terms. There is oil leaking from them and it had been blowing back on the body panels for a few days. There are several pin sized dots on the body panels on the right side.
Has anyone had this problem ? Is it a quick fix, or does it take several days. I am 72 miles from my dealer. I purchased the bike on 12/29/09 and it has around 1300 miles on it now.

If it's new get it back to the dealer.
Way back when some of the 99s had porous cylinders and they had to be replaced. Hopefully you won't need the engine pulled and new gaskets.
Were you wearing any HD clothing when this happened? :P

I had something that looked like that also and it turned out to be the slave cylinder for the clutch and it also looked like the base gaskets.
Take it to get fixed.

What they said....take it back to the dealer if it's new. First I've heard of any leak on a Vision.

Another thing to look at is check to see if you have the newer style gas cap. I thought i had the same problems with the same symptoms as you described, but it turned out to be gas coming out of the cap, then running out the overflow tube and blowing all over the panel behind the motor and also at the cylinder base. The newer style gas cap has rubber that fits over the entire fill spout. But definetly get it back for the dealer to check if these do not fix the problem

Thanks to everyone that responded. It turned out to be from the gas overflow tubes. I have learned not to fill it to the brim. Sure scared the heck out of me though.

I had what I thought was the start of some oil weep around the base of my cylinders which turned out to be gas from the over flow because the tank was over pressurizing. Which reminds me I need a new gas cap.
