| I have a set of Stage 1 Level 2 Victory pipes dealer installed, I have taken off all the clamps, bolts etc., muffler seems loose but will not come off, any suggestions? We hammer on the back bracket with a piece of wood but these suckers are on there. Ness mechanic says to turn them to compress a tab or something, unless we use a 5' pipe wrench and ruin these pipes they are not coming off.. |

Um, gonna have to ask this. Did you remove the bolt off the stud on top of the muffler? About half-way back. And did you turn the muffler so the stud clears the bracket it goes thru?

Where the crossover pipe meets the header pipes we had some difficulty getting them apart. But patience and a bigger hammer hitting the 2X4 won out and the pipes did finally separate.
After frustration sets in, you MUST use patience or you'll f#ck something up IMHO. |

| Thanks for the info, I had a buddy helping the first time who was sucking down adult juice boxes and he missed a fastner. Last night i got under it, saw the screw up and took bolts out and they came right off. |
