Posts: 40 Bellevue, NE | Yes, it failed again. I am neither for nor against it. If repealing it is going to affect my insurance rates, then leave it as is; I'm not talking the health insurance but liablitiy, collision. comprehensive, etc.
I do disgree with this statement though: "At 70 mph, if you crash on a motorcycle, that helmet is not going to make any difference," he said. "Something bad is going to happen to you regardless."
I can attest that yes, something bad does happen irregardless of helmet/no helmet. However, if I had not had my full-face helmet on, I am certain I would not be typing this. As it was I fractured the T1 vertebrae; a half helmet or no helmet I am certain I would have broke my neck.
Would I ride without a helmet if the law was repealed? Probably, at least occasionally. |
