You can also see the Taqahaman Falls. You can see Lake of the Clouds. We can see Picture Rocks and some of the most beautiful country God ever created. Archie

Someday, and soon I hope, I want to explore BC and all 5000K miles of it. My dream would be to ride all the way across Canada.

And don't forget North Western Washington has some of the FINEST riding - if you get off the damn "I" routes.... Hwy 9 being one of the best from the border to near Seattle. And Hwy 20 North Cascades - both directions; these a just a couple that I ride OFTEN. Do a circle to Leavenworth on Hwy 2 and Winthrop on Hwy 20 then back to Bellingham and north to home. Or Chukanut Drive south and down to La Conner and the Gulf Islands. Olympic Peninsula - etc and more wonders.....

COOL I'm starting to get some great ideas. Thanks all I hope that the posts keep coming. I didn't mean to not include the east but I wont have time to go east this year.
Easteners please feel free to chime on in and let us left coasters know what we are missing.

I do a weekend ride from Yakima, WA to missoula, MT. every year for a warm-up. Lolo pass is always a pleasure to ride.... Beartooth mountains in WY are also a can't miss. Gonna hit those thie year with my Dad. Did the Redwoods in N. Cali last year, and that is an awesome ride as well. ------Metalguy

The trip from Vernon to Creston through Kaslo and Ainsworth Hot Springs is awesome as well. Paste this in your browser and it should give you the route. You can also go from Revelstoke down to Nakusp and catch the same route. http://www.mapquest.com/maps?1c=Vernon&1s=BC&1y=CA&1l=50.265678&1g=...

Metalguy, I went over Lolo once and stopped at the top, there is a small road leading south down the hill, I went down that on my Goldwing a few years ago, it turns into a jeep trail, nothing down there but cows. I got all the way to the bottom to a T in the road and I was too low on fuel to take a chance on off-roading my Wing any further so I turned and headed back up to the top. I bet the locals woulda done a double take to see a Goldwing coming down that trail. When you first start down that road, before you start heading down hill there is a pretty nice view and camping area.

rwilly, the only thing about Lolo is the deer...We had to stop for them several times. Seven deer in all. But the scenery....Fantastic! I think I will pass on the offroading with the Vic. I went through Yellowstone a few years back on a Valk, and the deep gravel was a hoot, but the rock chips were another story! -----Metalguy
