Wichita, Kansas | I can't believe they didn't list "Stone". Australian flick from 1974 about two opposing biker gangs. One, composed of Aussie VietNam vets, on rice rockets (think KZ900's with cafe kits, not modern crotch rockets) and the other on Euro bikes - mostly Triumphs, but even a Ducati. The hero is an undercover (?) cop who infiltrates the gang to get the goods on them. Like a Vinnie Bobarino on two wheels. It's a hoot. I hardly ever use that phrase, but in this case it fits.
A little hokey but refreshing to see a biker movie without a single V-twin of a popular make. |
