Buffalo Grove,Ill | Hi all, i have the back off module on my 08 Premium and just purchased the Kuryakyn 4710 trunk Mod.
My question is this, Since i already have the back off module on my bike, once i install the 4710 do i need to remove the "flashing" plug on it (because its already on the bike) or do i leave it on the new mod and run both?

San Antonio, TX | I am not sure but I think you are on the right track. Since the Back off module already does the flash all you need the 4710 for is to run the trunk lights at 6 volts for tail lights plus 12 volts for stop and blinker.

Thanks, Dean Hi Dean, I have a "back off" installed on my other bike, it flashes the brake light 5 times and stays steady. I have the 4710 installed on the Vision trunk, flashes the brake light 3 times and stays steady. I'm thinking that your bottom brake lights will flash 5 times and your trunk brake lights will flash 3 times.

Pittsburgh, PA | i never did this mod nor have i looked into it that much. but i will say the photo of it is NICE.. i do have a question about this mod but in another way. is there such a thing where you can have the light ALSO act as turn signals? where half the leds would be left and right turn signals? just a thought. |

San Antonio, TX | I guess it depends where you get the brake light voltage.
If you get the brake light voltage before the Back off module it would blink as I stated above if the "Flasher" is installed on the 4710.
If you get the brake light voltage for the 4710 after the Back off module and remove the flasher, the trunk brake lights should blink in time with the lights on the V.

I think your referring to my photo...thanks. I would think that three separate led strings would work. Amber - Red - Amber : Having the amber come on only when using the turn signals. I don't know for sure if it could be done through the kuryakyn 4710. I'm thinking not because the amber would be lit all the time, which you don't want.
I have the 99 LED string hooked up to the 4710 brake wire. The 99 LED string flashes three times when hitting the brakes, along with the top two trunk lights (which also act as turn signals). |

Buffalo Grove,Ill | Thanks for the help guys. I think i will install it as is with the flasher in. If i find a problem with it i will remove it and see what happens
Also,Ark, you asked about the trunk lights activating left and right. If you do the G&H wire mod you will get full lights with the turn signals as well, not just partial. |
